Well it's that time of year now and 2010 is coming up so I thought that this is an appropriate thread..

So what if everybody's golfing resolution for the new year? It could be anything from shooting a particular score, all the way to joining a club or even playing a certain course. Anything you like.

In early Janurary I'm playing in the "prime 90" tournament down in Wollongong and it's a 5 day tournament. I want to win the overall tournament.
Also I have written up a 'regime' for my golf and I plan to follow that for as long as I can. And I will get down to 0 or a + handicap by the end of the year.

So what is everybody's elses GR? :) Let us know how it's going for you aswell.

To turn up to every golf day I say I'm going to go to!! Had a valid excuse with the old man's accident but raining is no excuse so 2010 it's "rain, hail or shine".

I'd like to say stop ho-ing but I'm a realist so no ridiculous statements.

Get down to 18. As much as I love 2 shot holes and 4/4's.

Get lessons. Improve my mental game and course management.

Get my post count above 10,000 cause then everyone will respect me.

Get the 14.X handicap I did not do this year that I wanted.

Or fix my grip as I really should and just play to my current handicap. That should be a better long term goal.

No Golf resolutions for me, I will take every game as it comes and then enjoy the beer at the end of the round.

Got plenty of others though.

Start the climb up in my career
Finish the Hawksbury classic ;and
Enjoy my last year in the 30's

TNO. You turned Pro, and couldn't make it? Or you accepted a nice prize at the detriment to your amateur status?

I've got 2. First is to get to single figures and stay there. Never been there. Currently on 10. Secondly, is to be more accepting of the fact there are more than a couple of bad shots in a round. That will be a tough one.

A handicap of single figures. I want it again. I don't have to stay there, because the golfing may not be regular once running season kicks in, but I want to do it again to prove to myself that the last time wasn't a fluke.

ParMaster
19th December 2009, 06:56 PM
Well Andy you sure have to skill to be able to get down to single figures.

GL with that.

To get to single figures and stay there for a year (or more) ...
Be less than 100 kilo's (now I know that the people who know me are having a laugh at that one ... but off the junk and coke will help ...)

Try to play two sub-40, 9s in the same round regularly. The resultant would be to get to 9 or 10.

To continue to balance work, life and golf which is an extremely difficult balancing act I think we would all agree!

To break 80 in a comp round.

I am not writing off my 09 resolution yet which I am still 4 strokes off achieving - 2 games to play yet...I may need to play at a more wide open track than Bribie to achieve it though!

Begin working on my game again. The last 2 years I have not practiced anywhere near as much as I would like to. Need to work on some time management to get that done though!
