NSW has a driving range...

Moore Park is the only range in the city - give yourself 45 mins from the CBD or 30 mins from Moore Park.

Zig, if your family will be checking Sydney out while you are golfing, there is no reason for your missus to have the car, especially if you are staying in Kent Street.

Will i have to wash dishes afterwards?

"Australia's most exclusive golf course"?

It's not even Sydney's most exclusive.

"Australia's most exclusive golf course"?

It's not even Sydney's most exclusive.Off the top of my head Capital would have to be "Australias Most Exclusive" and a toss up between "The Australian" and "Royal Sydney" as Sydneys.

Scottt
16th December 2009, 12:52 AM
Ellerston and Capital, I was thinking.

ParMaster
16th December 2009, 09:35 AM
NSW is nowhere near most exclusive. Anyway just the usual. A nice selection or burgers, seafood and one or two steaks to choose from.

Ellerston would be most exclusive by a long shot. My friends just got back from playing there last friday and said they were the last people there in 2 weeks.

Anyway what do you define exclusive as? Toughest to get on? If so then I reckon Elanora would be the toughest in sydney followed by the Aussie.

Oh and zig. You don't have to do the dishes but you have to cook the food. ;)

Andrew_S
17th December 2009, 06:58 PM
What's Elanora like? Does the course justify the exclusivity?

I only ask b/c I have an opp to play there mid Jan and if it's as difficult to get on as suggested, I might well have to call in sick that day...

ParMaster
17th December 2009, 07:20 PM
I get to play at Elanora quite a bit and it's just a wonderful place to play golf at. The course has the smoothest greens to be found anywhere (so if you can't sink a putt here then your a horrible putter) and the place is always in the best condition. It is a true "country club" in that sense and the members are welcoming. It has a wonderful clubhouse which is just massive. Make sure to have a game of Pool afterwards on the full size table upstairs. :) They have an 'arboreum' comittee and they are dedicated to the flora at the club.

I assume your getting an invite there? You should accept it if that's the case because it's not an easy course to get access to since there are only about 300 members and invite is the only way.

It's a true hidden gem and I hope you enjoy the place.

Pup

Andrew_S
19th December 2009, 09:00 AM
Cheers Pup.

300 members isn't much at all. I have an opportunity to play at a corporate day. It's not cheap and I'd have to take a day off work, but if it's as you described it, it may well be worth it.

ParMaster
19th December 2009, 01:36 PM
I wasn't aware they had corporate days there.

Anyway you have to go. Also let me know what you think of the place.

Had a good day at NSW even though i played very badly, company was good, didn't get to have a practice as our host was late :( i blame pup for my 11 points ;)

Would like to play here again one day, i found it very windy, but apparently it was rather benign, im not so sure. Again the windiest course i have played, i expected faster greens at both mur and nsw was a little disappointing.

NSW was a good course, you really have to play well to score well there, you can't chop around for 36 points.

Mur was a bit scratchy with very slow greens

To all the guys i met on my trip, thanx for the rounds, i enjoyed both, very much :)

ParMaster

Should have had a game today instead ziggy. The greens were pretty nice because the airation holes have grown over. Nice to see you had a safe trip aswell. :)
