Thought Zigwah was keen on this.

Maybe Zagwah traded him a shaft for the R9 head.

simmsy
6th December 2009, 01:26 AM
pretty sure it's .350 yoss, but 'fit will shim it out for you no probs i would reckon. at that price grab it, you love the driver shaft and that way you and adlo can cross swords with the same shafts all day long.;)

DO IT!

My 3 wood has the 80g FW shaft in there, not the Epic driver shaft.

Yoss, the BUL is a .335" tip !!

There's no reason why you can't play the 68g R driver shaft in the 3W...the alternative is to source the heavier FW shaft.

Hit adlos' 3w and see if it is too much for you (I doubt it)...otherwise buy it as a back up in case something happens to your gamer

Hoping someone can confirm if this will fit a FT-9 Tour?? I have a Grafalloy Blue Stiff in it at the moment but really need to go to Reg. thanks,

Wont any driver take a .335? You just shim if it is a 0.350.

Considering Jaybam bought this to go into a Cally Diablo, I'd say you will be safe.

jaybam
8th December 2009, 08:41 PM
even if its a .350 hossel you can just shim it. Easier to fit a .335 into a .350 than the other way around ;)

Thanks, sound like a good option. PM coming your way.

Doesn't the shitty callaway S2H2 hosel thing take any tip size? It just depends on the plastic sleeve you put on it?

adlo

Hmmmm, interesting.

Good thing with the Epic is the long parallel tip, as that guy Damanjack says on here from time to time, the Epic is perfect for bore through drivers.

was perfect for my Tour Burner :) Huge improvment when i put it in there.
Oh pending lol :)

Hi,

I've just started importing Grafalloy EPIC Fairway .335" REG and STIFF shafts plus EPIC Hybrid .370 REG shafts, initially in very small quantities to see if they sell before I order in bulk, these compliment the EPIC Driver 68-R .335" Reg and Stiff shafts I currently stock.

EPIC F/W .335" Reg, 84gm, 2.5* Torque
EPIC F/W .335" Stiff, 87gm, 2.5* Torque

EPIC Hybrid .370" Reg, 85gm, 2.5* Torque

Cheerz :) :D ;)

Hi m8,

$85.00 + $14.50 shipping, can send multiple shafts for the same shipping charge.

Also currently have Aldila DVS-65R and DVS-65S in stock, slightly more.

If required, I can install for a very reasonable charge, includes spining and swing weighting. ;)

Hi,

I'm in Adelaide, the stock won't be arriving until Tuesday or Wednesday next week.

Shipping will only be slightly more sending 3 clubs due to increased parcel weight.

My turn around is usually pretty quick, if I receive say on a Monday, try to extract shafts at least Monday, prep hosel and tips on Tuesday and epoxy, then ship on Wednesday at latest.

If job really urgent especially for pro golfers and I'm not playing golf in afternoon, can usually extract, prep and epoxy on same day as heads/clubs are received, then ship back next day.

Cheerz :) :D ;)

How would the driver shaft play in a fairway?

Hi,

I've installed EPIC .335" driver 68-R and 68-S shafts that weight about 70gm uncut in many fairway woods after some custom tip cutting with sensational results, straight, penetrating and very long.

A guy I play with now has a dilemia, he's hitting his J33 f/way wood with EPIC 68-R that was 3" tip cut dead straight and almost as far as his driver. I tried this shaft as I'd by error, tip cut 1.5" TWICE, it was supposed to go into a driver, got called to phone, came back and said where was I upto, oh, need to tip cut, did it, did dry install and measure and said, WTF. HaHaHa

For anyone with a powerful swing, I wouldn't use a 68-R or 68-S, I think you'd over-power too easily even though the results should be OK.

The EPIC f/way shafts weigh about 85gm with 2.5* torque compared to 70gm and 3.5* torque for driver shaft.

Cheerz :) :D ;)

Why do you stock the oem DVS shafts and not the real ones? 60, 70 etc,
Are the 65 oem's cheaper?

Hi,

The DVS 65's I stock are genuine Aldila's not OEM, I'm not sure if Aldila produced runs of the 65's then changed to 60, even Aldila's website doesn't list the 70 at the moment.

http://www.aldila.com/products.php?product=5

I just feel that 63gm is just a little light for most golfers, the DVS-65R and 65-S weigh in at about 67/68gm.

I purchase my non OEM shafts directly from USA from very large retailers, the main one does in excess of 30,000 club repairs per year and is in the Top 20 retailers in USA. This supplier is an agent for Titleist, Adams, Callaway, PING, TaylorMade etc., I will never get involved in non genuine stocks.

I can sell the 2010 AP2 forge 3-PW for around A$1050 + shipping depending on A$ > US$ currency rate

Cheerz :) :D ;)

Never said they were not Aldila, just the models you get in OEM clubs like the DVS 55 & 65, they did the same thing with the NV, OEM 60 & 70 models and the VS OEM 65 & 75 models from memory. The OEM's sell these in there clubs as stock shaft options and then upcharge you for the real versions. It is pretty common topic on golf forums that Aldila have been making these OEM version's for some time, there has been much debate over the exact differences, ie weight, more torque, softer tips, not as good a tolerence....., but most agree that they play different to the real versions.
