Going to play Barnbougle in December with a couple of mates and I was interested in the all day $120 rate. Has anyone played all day at the BD? If so, how early can you start and how many holes did you play and do you need goat legs.

If you can't walk 36 carrying your bag you're a pussy ;)

You'd piss it in for light.

Okay it's 7am kick off and stumps is when the shearwaters return to roost. Got to book in but the day before should be OK. I'm going to wait for a low pressure system to appear so Barny's fangs can come out. Should be blast! In bad weather you can lose as many balls as you handicap. I'll myth bust this one.

13-14 hours of light, why not shoot for 54 holes.

It will depend on how many people you are sharing the course with. We were first group off and dawdled round the first 18 in less than 4 hours - the afternoon round was heaps slower due to a large group of slow players in front of us.

Minimum traffic and you could fit 54 holes in easy.

us ozgolfers couldnt hack 36 holes in a cart so we moved the champs to a two day event.

Honestly I couldnt do it, I am stuffed after 18

Booking first tee time would be the way to go. I'm wondering what turnout you get in crappy weather?

I hear you. Tasmania GC is hilly and after playing everyday for a month I ended up with shin splints.

Some of us play the game while others have dreams of being a caddy.

it's a relatively easy walk if you keep it on the short stuff, only tough walks are 11 and from 15 to 16 tee.

If you spray it a bit on 12, you're in some strife though!

Make sure you get the big wheel buggy they are the schitz nitz - very easy to push.

I played first group off as a 2 and we did it in just on 4 hours from memory.
Not sure why you want to play it is shite weather though - wet and wind blown just doesn't work for me. Play it off the tips it'll do a Bribie on you as it is.....

I've played there a heap of times and pretty much every time I've played 36 each day. Play early and you'll be done in under 4 hours easily. Take some time for lunch and a few drinks on the deck and then cruise around for a second 18.

The walk up the hill on 18 is hard going in a head wind.

I get to Tassie on the 8th of December and my mate arrives on the 12th, so probably the next week.

Played 36 holes in September. Felt pretty stuffed going up the 18th! Never did par the 18th over 5 rounds - probably to do with struggling around the other 17 holes.

i did 54 but probably wouldn't again. Feet were very tender later. 45 holes would be a good chance though and give you time for lunch etc.
