View Full Version : Lajosi putter - Moral Dilemma

All Ho's,

I need help! Those of you who attended the champs will know that Kari was good enough to donate a LP1CS Lajosi putter as the main prize. Most of those who attended will know that I was lucky enough to win (after all other contenders self-destructed) whilst using my own custom made Lajosi!

My dilemma is;

Do I sell the prize to some hacker (on ozgolf) and share the love (and keep the cash!)

or

Give the putter to my wife (who is also a hacker) to improve my ailing mojo!

please help your Champ.

Regards,

The Pilot :?

Give it to the missus mate.

The putter that is ;)

Sell it to an ozgolfer, take the cash, and buy the missus a $50 putter and a bottle of her fav bubbly and/or a night out.

Max brownie points, cash in the pocket, and a happy fellow ozgolfer. It's all win-win-win.

Just sell it & pocket the coin.

he won it, why should he donate anything to ozgolf?

Give it (the putter) to the mrs mate, or sell it off to one of your fellow members at Indro, a bloke with the surname Oatley springs immediately to mind as the likely buyer!

Ask the wife what she would prefer... the putter or a night out.

Mount it on the wall, and keep it as a memento of the last Ozgolf trophy you ever won.

I got a plan next year, a crowbar for your good knee and a massive amount of laxatives on a bowl of chips and gravy - that will get rid of mudguts for a while.

We need a picture of your wife's face, at the exact moment she finds out that a Lajosi LP1CS is not a red Italian supercar.

ps. And bonus smoothness points for dhills2.

I've decided;

Memories are permanent (till you get really old!) and putters are temporary. Just ask Perci! So I will put it on the Pool room wall.

I think we should start a new forum.

'ASK HENNO' to solve your golfing or Life's dilemma's. His life's experiences should not be wasted!

Underneath it, you need to write
OLDEST OZGOLF CHAMPION EVER

(just in case you didnt know)

You won it fair and square - do what you like with it.

That said - it is a quality item and probably should be used for its' intended purpose instead of hanging on a wall.

That putter has the black oxide finish which will rust if not looked after. I sprayed some silicon on it before the champs as a temporary protection. The head will need to be kept oiled with a light motor oil when not being used as a permanent protection.

is there a pic of this putter anywhere?

petethepilot

Same shape as mine Dion, except no sight line and standard specs (loft/lie) I believe. Very attractive lime green for SNAGs. Unusually, it has a "project x rifle shaft" in it!

I want to keep it but I would probably prefer a different style to my Lajosi.

Thanks again for your company BrisV.

Pete

Show your wife two pics, one of the Lajosi you won, and another of a shinier, cheaper (but still decent) putter.

See which one she prefers, then you'll have your answer.

Else, I'm a fan of the idea to sell it here, use the cash to buy a cheapy putter and use the remaining coin to get your boom-shaka-laka on.

Now if only that worked with things like cars, jewelry, clothing :smt044
