A thread is needed to capture some of our excitement.

Courty has been asking me for months whether I was excited about the upcoming Champs, and I wasn't at the time. But in the last couple of weeks, it all seems to be counting down to this weekend, and I can't wait.
It's also the first time, I've decided to play all four rounds.

I've told the missus that she will be seeing very little of me over the whole weekend, and even though I'm not staying at the resort Friday night, I'll be there to be part of the action for as long as I can.

Giddyup!

At Work
JSA, SWMS, installation delays , Legal action, the company is sold and new GM starting.... perfect time to have time off.

At Home
building contract about to fall throught and it will cost us about $10K
No foxtel at the new place

I have had one round in the last 3 weeks.... perfect build up.

On the other hand the time off will mean shazza will play great.

They are only games of golf Lucas, two played with a hang over, a couple of nights drowning your sorrows from that days play and listening to stuff you couldn't be bothered with when sober. Not to mention the financial cost that you would rather have spent on a new driver.

Hang on......this is the Champs...forget the above.

Probably.

Serious question - how long does it normally take in Qld for greens to fully recover from a full coring?

I played Redcliffe 3 weeks back and they were still a little bumpy/sandy. Had a hit the other afternoon and they didn't seem any different.

About 4 to 6 weeks depending on the weather (cooler windy nights takes longer to recover)and the number of dustings with sand they receive. That's if the coring was with 1/2 inch hollow tynes.

The ACT roads are great - lots of large roundabouts so that the pubic servants that inhabit the joint get the feeling they are always on the mouse wheel.

They'd be a lot better if the exits out of canberra were a lot narroower to discourage MG's from leaving :-)
