Guys got a Bassara v83 X flex (last one left) for my 3 wood, I currently have a v73 stiff untipped in my driver and am going to fit it untipped in my 3 wood to make up for the flex difference.

But I have one question, do you think not tipping the shaft will match up the flex enough or should I matchup the softer side of the shaft after I spin it as well?

Recommended FW tipping is only 1/2, i'd be trying everything to make it play as soft as i could.

What you suggest Lee is a good way to go about it provided the CPMs compare. Never take for gospel the "S" and "XS", as you will know.

Don't always thinking butt cpm's matter overly either, tho in this case the shafts are so close in profile they would be a great gauge.

Not a huge deal I guess I can always change the R9 hosel from N to NU to see the difference.

I was hoping Tourfit, Virge or Tompson might weight in on this.

I think TourFit is on a golf trip for the next 4 days.
