Hey all, just got myself a set of Titleist AP2's with PX 5.5 Rifles.

Hit them for the first time today on the local range and they do fly a little lower than other shafts I have hit, but im thinking rock hard range balls wouldnt be helping the cause..

Whats your experience with these shafts and anyone else play these or another spec PX?

Tried them 3 times and each time ended up selling them.

Just couldn't get any feel out of them. They are designed to lower your spin rate, which could be the reason you hit them lower.

I tried 5.5 in chrome, the original satin's in 5.5 and 5.0 in satin and all were pretty much the same. The 5.0's went a good deal higher though, but still the same feel problems. Maybe its just me but that was my experience

I prefer Dynamic Golds

I think i remember someone saying these shafts are better if you really compress the ball into the deck, not for sweepers, i could be mistaken.

I hit these today and had really good results. I do compress the ball on my irons tho which probably helps. Got a nice high ball flight with good spin back from the Callaway Tour i. This put my mind at ease after thinking they would be too stiff so I'm happy now :)

Correct me if I am wrong but isn't the whole point of a golf swing to compress the ball?

Sniper.
Anyway, I've tried Project X's a few times and never liked them, don't like the way they feel.

Yeah of course but point I was making is that I do compress more than a sweeper. Very happy with the clubs. Just need to work on the swing more now.

I'm a sweeper but have no problem getting height with my PX 6.0's. I'm going back to DG's in the next set, but only because I'm over paying $$$ for hype. I haven't noticed any significant difference to the Black Gold's or DG's I've had previously.

150 bux isn't that bad for as new pX 6.0's :)

Nice plug, wrong shaft though.

I find I hit the PX a lot straighter, much less sidespin. I could be simply swinging better, but that's most unlikely.

They go higher?

Variable kick points. Lower kick point in long irons to help get ball up and kick point moves higher down through the irons.

Damn it I just found that. Interesting. Why am I thinking about shafts again?
