Getting used to the look of the CallyX 20's (when the headcovers are off); but then I am looking at the ball and the bottom line of the clubface so I am missing alot.

Wilson Firesticks, they are the only irons I have ever owned.

Huge top line and heaps of offset, I think it is time for a new set.

TM 300's. In saying that I've only had 3 sets of irons in the past 15 years.

Wy are the Muira any more sexy than half a dozen CB's with the same basic forging on the market - is it the gold name?

Hate to say it but other than putting fancy crud in the back of them a lot of straight CB's are exactly the same and with blades...a little extra lump here and there and the name changes and SFA else.

As golfers we are saps for marketing.

Or maybe being woken by a vacuum cleaner when you finish work late makes me a grumpy prik.

Grumpy Prick!

Reckon my irons are quite purty, but some of the Japanese stuff is great, like the Prgr and Epon stuff.

These were the irons played by Sid Bennett (left hander) a Scottish pro who was the first professional at Mordialloc G C (1914-20) and Commonwealth G C (1920-24) before moving to Victoria G C where he served till he retired. Each iron is handforged in Scotland the most lofted, a niblick, was made in 1892.

http://www.ironfinder.com/modelpiclg.asp?face=1&ModelNbr=715These, and I wish I'd never sold them. Tiny head, sweet spot the size of a pin head. But damn they were nice. I had 2i to pw, and were way too much club for me.

Yeah generally they would be out of my range also but once I hit them and with a pretty heavy discount I thought they would be worth it. Just have to put off buying a driver and new fairways for a while lol..
