So i'm playing in the Mitsubishi G.C Masters later this month.
Im and average putter at best, but really struggle on those QLD grainy greens.
Anyone got any tips to help me?

Hit it firmer and straighter.

Just play for pace, try for 1 ft behind the hole. (this from the worst putter in SE Qld)

on grainy greens, look for the light/shiny and dark areas. Shiny is with the grain, whilst the darker looking grass is into the grain. Hit it harder into the grain and softer with it. If your putt breaks with the grain it's gonna be faster and break more. and vice versa... it's common sense really.

or, do as ned kelly does and use the leading edge of your PW for all putts.

Thanks guys, i can never get used to those greens.
The tourney is over 4 days, 4 different courses, so bound to get better as it goes on!

Another question, what putter would best suit in terms of face feel?
1. 2ball SRT white hot
or
2. S.C Del Mar 3

The White Hot might work well at The Glades on the bent greens.

The Glades' greens are as soft as ****. Take the Scotty. You'll need the divot repair tool heaps. ;)

Easy - with a bent green you can die the ball in the hole. You cannot do this with grainy greens as the grain just rips the ball sideways.

Be carefull with bent - be agressive with grain. What you miss in 3 footers coming back you will more than make up for in putts you sink.
