Thought some of you might be interested in seeing some images from the new FNQ course.

Quite a few images so this may take a while...

not bad, and that 16th is a tripper.

i like the fact that some holes dont have bunkers too.

It looks like a lovely place to play, but I did notice that 6 of the greens seem to be bunkered on the same side as the fairway bunker.

How does it play Shavey? It’s often hard to tell from photos, but it doesn’t look like the fairway bunkers threaten the best line to the green.

A few decent looking holes there, and a glorious setting. Any word on the likely green fee?

$150 for 18 holes, including ferry from Hamo.

Yeah, decided to stop being a lazy c&*t and search. Not a bad website, except the hole "photos" are CGI... which is a bit dodgy.

$150 is probably on the steep side, but with a captive holidaying market to draw from, I'd say they will get enough punters.

My missus' brother has been working on Hamilton for the past two years and says the place has been jumping the whole time. The recession is but a myth!

I love that part of the world and have always felt one of the few things it wanted for was some good golf.

Turtle Point at Laguna in it's day was a very good resort course. Unfortunately for it, it was out of the way from everything else and it is not apparently very run down.

Not sure how this track will go for people staying on other islands and the mainland, by the time you get a ferry from whereever to Hamo and then to golf it will upwards of $200 a round.

Plus $25 for 50 range balls is to say the least steep !

TWP designed the course but not sure who took the lead.

Haven't played the course myself but came across the photos which I deemed shareable.

Great stuff Shavey! Great to see REAL images. Those CGI ones on the website are dodgy.

That 16th hole does look trippy and the approach to that 4th green looks very hairy. Reminds of a good Australian version of some Hawaiian courses.
