Am considering buying a golf cart (probably 2nd hand) and not sure what to get.
Petrol or electric??
Was also thinking about a solo cart – the ones that look like a mobility scooter.
Does anyone have any ownership experience that they can share?:-k

Some courses have a policy which bans the use of petrol carts.

Nothing worse than playing golf at a course that sounds like there are 1000 2-stroke lawnmowers buzzing around you.

There's a website called getmobile.com.au I think that specialise in the single seater type.
*No association with them.... also looking for a leccy golf cart.

If I were in the market, I'd go electric. From what I've witnessed locally, they're more reliable than petrol buggies. Nice & quiet too.

Some courses may require a doctor's certifcate to use a golf cart. Some courses also discourage privately owned carts.
Were you thinking of storing it at your home course ?
Otherwise, it's the hassle of a car and trailer in a carpark.
I'd also look at electric trolleys, which are very practical and popular around here, if you can readily walk 18 holes.
