Bridgestone invitational - final round #16 - Steward Cink.

OMFG Steward, man up!! :smt108

When he hitted his 3rd shot and the ball started to spin back (a lot) I really hoped it will roll off the green and into the drink!

Of course he still got his routine par.

I know, some of these touring pro just want to do enough to stay at top 10, but thats the kind of player I hated (to watch) the most.

I don't hate him as a person, but they are dreadful to watch as they are not really entertaining.

Just my opinion.

290 yards carry, over water to a tucked pin. Go long, you're screwed like Harrington.

One dumb shot can be hundreds of thousands. There is a time and a place for it. We'd all love to see it, but it was the smart play.

You want to see a big carry, go and buy Tin Cup.

Yeah, Stewie Cink is always just playing for top 20s so he can cash his cheque. I mean, when's the last time he won anything of value...

I'm not sure he could hit a 290yd shot off the deck that would stop on the green...

Poor old Steward. Maybe he was busy serving someone in Economy, so couldn't go at the green...

Ask Henno about his lay-up on Saturday.

Shuddup. I'm trying very hard to delete it from my memory.

It's alright though, I knocked it on the 9th for two.... and proceeded to 3-putt from 8 feet.

I watched the recording of this yesterday, Cink actually only had 245yds left and was in the 1st cut of rough, so it wasn't thick just sitting up nicely....

Quite a high percentage of players hitting 7 irons and below, couldn't get their ball to hold on the green.

Their was piss short, and over the back was potentially "a Harrington".

He did the right thing.

I was watching it live and he actually wanted to have a crack at it but his caddy talked him out of it. Smart move I think.

Smart play. A lot of handicapper golfers would do well to learn to play to their ability and confidence levels. If you lack confidence on a shot chances are you will muck it up; try to steer it, try to crunch etc and walk away with a multiple bogey!

Confidence and Bravado aren't the same thing by the way!
