Hi Guys
What do you think is the best driver on the market today.
With Fathers Day coming up I may get lucky.
Which do you think out of the
Cleveland
Adams
Nike
And what model and why
Thanks
Addam

go hit some on a range if u can mate, a lot of the top brands are very similar performance wise but u need to find one u like the feel and sound of as well. It's a very personal preferance IMO. I've hit Titlesist D2 and D2 comp and King Cobra's S9 and both performed real nice. Check out as many as you can. Heard good stuff about the new Nike and the Adams insight tech A4 proto looks nice 2.

there aren't too many bad drivers on the market today addam. It really comes down to what fits your eye best and then matching that to a shaft profile that works for you.

(I'm surprised you didn't put Titleist on your shortlist, as the new D2/D3 drivers are pretty classic looking and would be as good as anything else around.)

Last 10 majors were won by Nike (5), Wilson (3) and Ping (2).

Might have to change bandwagons.

Since starting back i've tried

Macgregor MT 460 9.5 stiff OEM shaft and Stiff HTD CB70

Went ok until i got the Mizuno MX500 and 909 In my hands then it was left for dead.

Titleist 909 D2 9.5 Stiff OEM shaft, stiff V2, reg IROD

A bit wierd this one for me seems to go ok much better with the reg shaft but it is very light and i am still unable to find an answer to ad weight to the head. Mostly long higher ball flight than the MX 500 with the same shaft.

Mizuno MX500 Stiff V2, XFLEX HTD 85X, reg IROD

This is a nice Driver i liked the feel of the club head and clubface with the stiff shafts but changed back to a reg shaft when i did my irons and was the same thing night and day, this thing is looong, you can really feel and hear a nice crack off the clubface the best so far.

Nickent 4DX i think Gaz? reg shaft tipped

I have hit this a couple of times now, it's long, weight feels good, but when you hit it, your left wondering if it was a good shot until you you see the the ball, if that makes sense? I'm not sure i could get past this.

So out of those drivers my Fav has been the MX 500 with the reg IROD and by a bit i think on overall performance.

Wondering if the Taylormade heads are light Jobbies like the Titleist 909?

Have you looking into hot melt with tungsten filings? I guess removing the shaft isn't the issue it getting the hot melt in the right place in the head so it doesn't affect the weight distribution.

I love the 909D2s...hit one that was fitted with a V2 X flex shaft at a demo day last week and it had a good sound and nice ball flight. Come about 12 months time, I'll have my eye out for one most likely.

where does the hot melt go? in the hosel or in the shaft? Could be tricky but given the right advice could work?

Hey I can actually help on this one.

The adams drivers i've hit, insight and some other model, feel and perform a lot better than the nikes i've owned and hit.

This is with the same shaft in a couple of each as well.

A good solid 1wd would be the old version of titleist 1wd's. The 905 series are great.

See my driver is a Old Titleist Tour Issue LFF that never went into production, It is long but I have hit a G10 10 past it on the fly, I really like the Adams,G10. If anyone has a Tour Issue Adams or Tour Issue G10 in X Flex let me know.

Johnny Canuck

Most Tour issue drivers are weighted better, much squarer to open at address and are most of the time the pic of the bunch. I can only speak for Titleist as I have played them for over 10 years But from what i have read it is if you want a better buy buy Tour,
also Tour drivers sell better if you don't like them.

Perci has a Tour issue Adams Speedline with an X-flex shaft, not sure if he wants to sell it tho.

Perci actually gets this one in the air quite easily for an 8.5.
The Tour Issue is the one on the left with the longer hosel and the paint break.
