He looked perfectly balanced at the end of the swing, albeit a little back, is the lunge forward a standard thing or something he is working on ??

BTW, does he go through many pairs of shorts ??

maybe I should rethink the whole LD thing.... That looks painful....

I'd fall flat on my backside if I tried to swing it like that.

Out of curiousity, who hits longer? ROC or ALD?

Kind regards,

Ben (Ducky).

Well, Mark has always had a step out for as long as I have known him and I don't really know about the shorts thing, I couldn't really answer that  I do know that he wreck his shoes......

This is a swing that I have based most of my own technique around. Personally, I love it. I will post some of the other Long Drivers from around the world if you would like.

Dion..... that is just his particualr action, this works for ROC, you need to perfect a Long Drive swing that is perfect for you...maybe you may fall on your butt, that's up to you..

ALD is the National Champion Ben......

It's really about who can hit the grid....

Personally I have seen both in person and spent time with both. I would have to be honest and say that I believe that if Mark could hit the grid... It's anyones game.....

YOU READING THIS ROC ????? :D

A bit to narrow for his stance mate

My god  I was in pain watching that clip. If I tried that I would need surgery 8-[
Did that ball ever come down Roc :?: 8)

My whole body hurt watching that clip.

Holy crap. Talking about getting your weight through the ball :!: :!:

I would say, Roc, that you must do a hell of a lot of squats or leg presses to get your legs that strong. You need a quick, stable platform for that kind of violence.

Now, about those shorts...

I checked my shorts, they seem ok at the moment, HaHa.
Its shoes I destroy, rips soles off and the spike housings out of the shoes.
Im playing golf today and im going to be thinking of my pants instead of the ball now  :Originally for longdrive I never went out to get a swing like this,There is theory behind it. It just feels really good and I can really crank it :smt002

Roc, do you crank it up like this on the course every now and then......

Roc
22nd January 2005, 07:18 PM
I do, If I stuff it I'm 4 fairways away and its all recovery shots after that. 2 iron down the middle is much safer, a bit boring though :!:
