Dear All,
Please find attached the following two documents relating to the introduction of the USGA Course Rating System in Australia:
§Memo: USGA Course Rating System in Australia – Course Set-up Regulations & Guidelines (re Permanent Plates, Tee Markers, Rating Quantities)
§Accompanying Q&A
Given the importance of this information, we have encouraged State Associations to also forward these items to Clubs via their own communication mechanisms.
Additionally, please go to the following page of the GA website to view advice of updates and amendments to the existing Australian handicapping systems (note: these updates and amendments are effective immediately) - http://www.golfaustralia.org.au/default.aspx?s=newsandcommunication.
For your advance notice, we will soon be distributing a memo which will contain detailed advice regarding the further modification of the current Australian Handicapping Systems with the USGA Handicap System in mind. This memo will include follow-up advice of the updates and amendments to the existing Australian handicapping systems which are posted on the above noted webpage.
Please contact your State Association or myself if you have any queries re any of the above.
Kind regards,
Simon Magdulski
