Considering buying a secondhand set of Snake Eyes 600B with Rifle 6.0 shaft for $450.
Good or bad buy?

Johnny Canuck

Good clubs, a bit expensive unless they were new.

The other option is a set of Wilson Pi7 irons also with 6.0 shaft for about $400

they're nice clubs. As good as any decent forging you can buy IMO. They're not readily available in Oz and golfsmith.com won't ship them here either.

I paid a bit less than that for mine, but I was lucky that the seller was feeling generous. http://www.ozgolf.net/forums/showthread.php?t=9923&highlight=snake+eyes+600c

i love proj x shafts myself.

if you really love the snake eyes, i'd offer them $350. they probably got them for super cheap in a trade in and the most you would end up paying is $400.

don't worry about me. i've played at the front of the field a few times lately and have always been over a hole ahead by the end.

i've never done this with the american before.

it's a medal round, we'll be waving you through when he is in the right bushes on 7.

i've stopped the ho'ing. in the last 3 months i've only replaced my irons, hybrid, lob wedge and putter.

Seems there is a new Oz distributor for Snake Eyes. A pity they decided to advertise their web site when it isn't up and running yet! Moregolf.com.au according to the ads.

I believe I know the guy personally. Great guy, but not surprised the site isn't up and running. He's pretty "laid back".

Ha ha, nope, saw him in Freo. It was the quietest personality of FIGJAMILTON I have ever met.

Must have been with the wife. I can't tell within 4 seconds of talking to him on the phone if the wife is in the car with him.

Adlo, what does ILTON stand for in the acronym?

Adlo, what does ILTON stand for in the acronym?

His last name is Hamilton.

Figjamilton arose when I caddied for him in a match play. I got a big piece of masking tape and game myself a caddy name tag across my back as "Figjamilton".

He was pissed off for the first three holes, so I had to make sure I never showed my back until he calmed down.

First I saw it was, in JC tradition, when a golf ball was left in the hole on Wee Tap one day when Tiger was in the trailing group. FIGJAMILTON was inscribed.

Speaking of Canadian tradition, one of the recent South Park episodes is a golden piss take of Canada.

Has he ever tried to strike you sorrocks?

Amazingly enough, no. I have pushed him to the brink numerous times though.

He has tried to start a few other fights on the course, range and parking lot. He did step up in front of me when I had an altercation once. I didn't ask for his help, but he just jumped in front and said "I've got this" and was ready to deal with it until everything diffused,

I'm glad I don't have to find the facepalm emoticon on the phone then. All I could get was "I Love To ..."

Nice work on the caddy name too. You do have a bit of a fondness for stickers don't you JC?

Heheheh. It's hard moving around a golf course and keeping them from seeing your back for three holes, with the opponent laughing the entire time.

The one for Yoss' car sat around for about 9 months before I got a chance to use it. Every time I was primed to use it, his car would breakdown and he'd catch a ride with someone else.

Cheers Aldo.

Lucky I didn't respond much...I wouldn't want to hurt him.

You see, I am a 2nd Dan black belt in karate (not many people know that, until now).
