In chatting with Nomadtourvan the other day, he mentioned that he had the above wedges available for anyone who was interested down here for $80USD per stick.

http://www.nomadgolfwrx.com/

They have no 64° but if you have any interest in other lofts please email them at Tourvokey@aol.com. 1 wedge costs about $35USD for shipping but if you get a few interested folk you may get a great cheap wedge I guess.

I'd be keen on 51 deg and 57 degree and 62 degree in 588. Are you going to get some Pete? It'd be nice to have wedges that doesn't have PD engraved on it ... ;)

Do you wanna go halves in shipping?

Received e-mail as follows,

Our supply changes daily. We do have on hand now cleveland RTG raws with our WRX treatment (square grooves, GTO tour grind & porting) 588 60* & 60* "P", 56* & 56& "P" and 53*. These are $80.00 each. We also have the same lofts and cuts in BeCu for $95.00 each. In addition to this we have in Black Fog with the same WRX treatment 60*, 56* & 53* these are $120.00 each (on our web site they are $200.00).
In the 900 RTG raw, we have 60*, 56* & 52* all have the WRX treatment.
These all come with our True Temper 355 Nomad boss spin shafts & sharpro tour velvet grips. Add $5.00 per club for sharpro tour velvet full cord grips.
Shipping to OZ air express would be $40.00, to Canada is about the same $35.00.
As for shaft up grades you can look on our web site for other cost of shafts. We will give you a $20 credit from the quoted price for a up grade shaft.
We also have around twenty or so Tour Concept green r-3 Prototype wedge shafts. These were sold for a list price last year for $100.00. We can let you have them for $50.00 per shaft installed. The r-3 has the same cycles as a rifle 6.0 so its almost stiff. These are very nice I use them in all my wedges.
Best regards, Ron Price

I think the blag is just for aesthetics, the Becu is the type of metal used. It was generally softer in feel than the other finishes from memory. I like the Becu myself. we can talk more tomorrow about an order;)

Have a squiz at his website. The black fog is a treatment that lengthens the life of the club, apparently the grooves stay sharper longer and the club won't rust.

The BECU finish is a Cleve coppery colour I think, not sure what else it does.

Lucasto,

588s at 60, 56 and 53, all blackflog.

Guys I am assuming "P" = ported? Which suppose the bring down the ball flight?

3oneday
15th July 2009, 03:18 PM
The P is a grind on the sole, like a divot out of the middle of it. They're all ported as far as I know.

Also, don't forget they can change lofts, lies and bounces if requested ;)

bebo
15th July 2009, 03:26 PM
can you please explain the P grind a little more if possible? I am still not too sure what the P grind does exactly. Many thanks in advance.

In terms of loft/lie. I need to check the lie angle. But I know I want them to be 50/55/60 for sure. With reasonably low bounce at least for the 60* due to Queensland's course.

P" Grind

This special sole grind reduces digging and large divot taking associated with steep swings. It also helps keep the club square at impact and makes pitching/chipping very forgiving in tight or firm playing conditions.

CobraSS

GTO grind i think would be the go

"GTO" Grind

The "GTO" grind consists of a 3 degree toe roll, a 7 degree heel roll, and a 2 degree trailing edge roll. This allows the club to be open or closed without adding additional bounce. This also helps reduce drag, thus helping keep the face square at impact.

3oneday
15th July 2009, 05:33 PM
GTO is the standard grind I think, what he usually sells them as.

bebo
15th July 2009, 08:13 PM
Sounds like P grind for 50*, and GTO grind for 55* and 60* would be perfect.

But not sure if Nomad willing to do the 50* in P thu....

3oneday
3rd August 2009, 07:11 PM
2 vokeys.

1 is 51 degrees with 7 bounce (original 52.08 ) the other is 57 and 6 bounce (original 56.10).

They are 2 degrees flat and sit pure as ! They also have Tour Concept R3 shafts (the green finished shaft)... what else.... Oh, with grinding you lose some weight which was corrected by weights in the tips, so the 51 is D2 swingweight and the 57 is D5.

They are raw and will rust, I might stick some pics up on the weekend 8)
