I have had the Pings for quite awhile now and I have been fairly happy with them, but feel it is time for a change. I would love a set of Nike Victory Red's or the Titleist AP2's but both are a little pricey.
I do like the look of the TaylorMade TP's I have been eyeing off at the Vic Park pro shop.
This time around I will be getting professionally measured up by the guys at Vic Park and then ordering a set to suit. What do you blokes recommend?

Those TP's don't look too bad. Just wait a little and something will become available through Perci's Pro Shop!

I am very happy with my 09 TP's, VR's are nice too but are expensive and from what I've heard won't drop in price any time soon because so few set came to Aus.
MP 52 and 57s are sweet also. I also like the S58/57's.
I am tempted to look at a combo set next.

Isn't there some TP's in the Pro shop ATM

I like the look of the TP's also. Some cheapish VR on US ebay atm from memory...

The Adams A4's (i think that's the model) are nice looking too.

The new AP2s are due later this year/early next year. Apparently the head is slightly smaller and they won't hit the ball as high. I will probably get a set of these when they are released. If you are a low ball hitter, the current AP2s are great.

Why would they bring out a set and call them the same thing ?

I like the Cobras :D The TP's look good. Gone off the A4s.

Yes Cobra's are very nice too, TP's are a little bigger and maybe a little less offset. The TP's are just a touch smaller than the R7TPs but with less offset which suits me.

Nothing wrong with the R7TP's either :)

I have never really been a fan of TM gear but do like the look of the TP's
I may end up trading in the Pings which will lower the cost a bit on the new irons.

His dump would be around them, not on them ;)

I would love to get some 09 TP B series in 7-PW to make up a combo set.

What pings do you have? They should be a very handy trade in. GW capalaba has a set 4-PW in store.

Another vote here for the R7 TP's. Although I only picked mine up on Saturday and haven't even hit a ball with them.

The joys of being an Ozgolfer. Hit 11 of 18 greens in regulation on Saturday and drive home with a new set of irons in the boot. :)

Now to wait patiently for my sidewinder grips so I can get these irons out to the driving range.

I reckon Moe has a set in almost as gooda nick. I think I have an old set of them around here somewhere too come to think of it...TM haven't made anything close to as good as the 300 irons IMO...

I've had a few offers to buy mine since I replaced them with the xforged, but they aren't going anywhere. They'll be back in the bag, one day..

Wilson CI7's are great value and heavily lauded as a sleeper. See if you can hit em, they were around a bit a little while back.

Tour Burners would be another great one if you could try em.

TM 300s are great looking irons, but again for me too much offset in the long irons from memory.

Another vote for the Adams A4's. Mine are fresh and minty straight out of Perc's pro shop.
They feel superb when struck out of the middle and while I had no complaints about my i5's they feel pretty dull in comparison to the A4's.
These are the ones;

I thought the current model had a small head (compared to my 755s). They're going smaller still?

I have had 2 sets of irons in 7 years that hardly makes me a Ho AP.
