I have made a couple of heel shafted mallets recently, with some new engraving and one with the "wave groove milling"- I'm really interested in seeing how this one feels as the original already had a nice feel.
These are ready to be welded, then bent.

Love that gecko. (And the wavy grooves are a nice touch.)

I need a bit of club-building 101 ... Welding I understand, why is some bending required ?

I'm assuming it would involve bending the neck to adjust the lie angle and give it the requested offset.

Ben is spot on- All welded neck putters are bent to their lie angle & offset. The KLP6C in the pics will be welded in a 10 degree lie angle and a zero offset, this allows me to custom bend the lie another 8-12* and also give it some offset, - 1/2, 3/4, 1, shaft diameter or even zero if you prefer.
The flow neck putters are very similar, they are just welded vertically so the full lie angle & offset is then bent.
The necks need to be heated red hot with an oxy torch and then bent into postion using a bending bar.
I Hope this helps.

Kari, do you have putters in stock ready to go? or are they by custom order?

Also have you considered doing a Kari version of the Scotty Cameron ball tool/ marker?

Cheers

Looking forward to some pics from Kari on this topic! I've seen some sensational personalized ball markers and tools that Mr Lajosi has made for some of his customers on another site.

Here is another centre shafted mallet I have made recentlty. - "LP09" - It has a more stepped flange but a smaller cavity- similar weight-345g-350g
It would be nice to try this in a heel shafted style.........

Here are the finished KLP6C's

The Gun Metal with the 2 site lines is 355g with a 70* lie & 4* loft and the Black Chrome with the "wave groove" milling, it's 345g,-70*lie and a 3* loft.

The wave grooves feel really soft with the trial shaft!

Both are available.
