you all should join Helensvale, nobody would know you got the cheapie membership. Obviously Robina Woods is getting the reputation of having the cheapskate members.

Pretty stupid thing to say there blake. For some of us it is the best option at the time and to maintain your handicap so you dont have to do it again. My situation is i moved another 50 klm's away from my then home club and didnt know where i was going to joining and also lost a bit off the passion and enjoyment for the game. Add on top of that lots of renos to do around the house and all of a sudden you dont have enough time to justify the 1000 plus dollars on a membership. Now i have settled into the new house/area i intend to join a local club and get back into it but calling up cheapskates is rude and i think you should maybe take into consideration these things before making stupid assumptions.

jaybam

Oh by the way lucas worst case senario for me now is bubs will be induced no later than the 7th of July so i should almost be a sure thing for this now. Cheers

Jesus, your right Blakey, Helensvales nomad membership is cheap! I'm assuming other clubs haven't cottoned on to to the fact that Helensvale is offereing it yet?

Agree. Check out the fees for Shepparton Golf Club - this is a quality course.

What is the go with Brisbane Golf Clubs, are they just bad managers or what?

Pretty stupid thing to say there blake......but calling us cheapskates is rude and i think you should maybe take into consideration these things before making stupid assumptions.

Sorry, but you misunderstood, I personally am not calling such golfers cheapskate (i was one of these myself once) It is the various golf clubs that are calling the Robina mega-members cheapskates and are treating you with comtempt as such by denying concessional green fees or playing rights at their club. Thats the reality of it.

Jesus, your right Blakey, Helensvales nomad membership is cheap! I'm assuming other clubs haven't cottoned on to to the fact that Helensvale is offereing it yet?

exactly the point. Robina Woods quite obviously is now well recognised for the 'mega' members. Joining a cheap and obscure golf club is obviously going to keep it under the radar for much longer.

Yeah and with some of the pin positions we will face should be a fun day ;)

Lucasto23
7th July 2009, 11:23 AM
yeah, i wish they did a pin sheet like the do for the monthly medals. It would help a fair bit and probably speed up play;)

Jarro
7th July 2009, 11:40 AM
I'm guessing the pin on the first will be 3/4's of the way up the green about 5 feet from the right edge

The last two times i've played in this it's been in that spot, making it quite possible to putt off the green and into the trap there.
