Dion I am now available any weekend upto and including the 3rd weekend in August (15-16th). First round of the Club Champs starts on August 22nd.

Is that enough time for you to get your swing back in shape, and for me to lose any of my recent form :-)

i've sent you a pm goonie, but any chance of a hit early tomorrow? I'm happy to come to Carbrook or host you here for $55 (the new guest rate).

Give me a buzz on my mobile if that suits, as I'm offline painting the home theatre this afternoon.

Looks like this match will happen next Sunday arvo now.

Where's a good neutral venue, between Cleveland and Brookwater with a Sunday open comp??

Looks like McLeod, Oxley, Gailes, Indro, Pacific or Brisbane GC could be good choices between your course and mine.

I'll put a post in the 1st Tee area and see what comes up.

hardly. i had 28 points. goonie just had a much worse day than me is all.

As sad as it sounds, my 28 points wasn't too bad as I had a couple of stupid triple-bogeys in there. 31 points won the day, so I wasn't that far off the mark.

Really pissed now, went to the range and worked out what I was doing wrong, and started hitting the ball pretty well again, DOH

Christ 31 points won? :-s

What normally wins these days at brookie? Do they even get many people playing comps?

It's a small field, normally say 20-30 players. It is only for members and guests. Guests play for $50 including cart and comp fee, which is a pretty good deal (cheaper than I pay :( )

I've won it with 35 points before. But I've also seen 40+ points win it. It's pretty random. CCR off the golds is typically 1-2 over par on a full field day, but these small comps often end up with silly CCR's like 77 etc.

Had 35 Points today after working out my swing at the range during the week, 18 on the front, more than last weeks 17 for 18 holes, and 17 on the back. should have had a few more but didn't take some of my putting seriously as I was mapping a few greens with the GPS :-).

if it's any consolation, i lost my matchplay to BrisWesty at Wynnum last year with my worst round of the decade, including about 10 sockets... Westy wasn't keen to give me a rematch either.

I don't want a rematch, **** that, When you lose you lose, I'm just pissed I played like a loser after playing quite well lately, anyway I'm over it, as long as I don't think of it anymore, no more brooky until the scars heal :-)
