Hey fellow OzGolfers.

Here is a place for you to post pics and video of your swing. Just use your forum name as the subject and off you go.

You will have to host the pics and video yourself so if you are short on space ask some fellow members. There are some free providers around.

Now lets have a look at that reverse pivot :D

I found this one yesterday to host the pics I put up.

Free and took a few seconds to join.

Just have to keep the pics to less than 120K for the free hosting, which is plenty for what we want.

Megspace allows 50 megs of free space, but you have to do your own web page editing, etc.

Thanks Goughy for getting this section up. I'll try to get my swing on video soon. I'm in the middle of undergoing some swing changes. Would love some comments from the swing gurus here.

What's going on?

This idea got 0 votes in the new forum poll I put up. Will "What's in the Garage" be coming next?

Maybe the masses didn't grasp the concept until they saw their swings.

Jono, do you actually use this mob yourself? Are they OK?
Anything else I should know before I sign up?

Hmmm ... I've used them before without problems. I tried to create another account but get the "Forbidden" message. :? I'll have to go with my optus server ...

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /cgi-bin/new.cgi on this server.

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Anyone have one that works

Does anybody know of a program (free one, if possible) that will compress MPG files? I just took some video of my swing and the clips are 4mb ... I want to get it down to 1mb or less. Thanks.

I use WinAVI convertor..not free though and does .avi to .vob very well so this is why I use it.

Windows movie maker does a pretty good job for free and everyone who has XP should have it 8) converts to .wmv only though.

You can try these...don't blame me is they are crap though :)

Thanks Jaster. :smt023

I think the movie maker is great. Real easy to use, great for clipping out extra bits, and compressing the files. The only thing is, as you mentioned, it saves it as wmv file. You can't advance frame by fame in this format, which is why I prefer to keep it as mpg.

Do you use any golf video analysis software? eg. V1. I wonder if they have video compression features. I'm think of buying one.

I have used V1, Cswing and another one that I just can't remember...personally I find them all overkill and much prefer quicktime and the .avi's that my Canon digital camera takes. I am able to move the slider frame by frame which I find is all I need with almost zero quality loss. Be careful Jono...ever heard of Paraysis by analysis ;)
