View Full Version : Any Perth OzGolfers looking for shafts/grips etc

I will likely be picking up a new shaft for the Mizuno driver along with a few midsize grips and such.

If anyone in Perth is looking for some gear, I will likely be grabbing the stuff from golfworks.com or victorycustomgolf.com.

Similar to the Qld bulk buy, we could save on shipping.

I am going away in a few weeks, so I will either order ASAP for myself if no interest shown here, or arrange for someone else to take delivery (if it takes a few weeks to arrange the buy).

Let me know guys.

Yes, but which ones is the big question :)

What you thinking?

Yossarian

Two wedge shafts for the wedges to be bent. A shaft for the driver possibly the HMOI? And a new stiffer shaft for the hybrid I have already. And maybe some of those grips. Yours felt comfy.

I feel dirty saying it out loud.

You are not dirty you dirty ho.

Rifle spinners are also meant to be a good wedge shaft.

If you end up buying from Golfworks, make sure you get Donna to throw in some Catalogues. Donna handles all overseas orders, and if you just wanna tyre kick, just email the list of items you need, and she will do a freight quote. Her email address at the bottom of the main page.

The catalogues are great reference books particularily for all the shafts. and keep them so when stuff is obsolete but for sale at Ozgolf you still have all the specs.

Hmmm..... interesting.

Problem is I just emailed Ken at Victory Custom Golf and got his price on the shaft I am looking at and he gave me a price I might not be able to refuse (35% cheaper than golfworks and the rrp).

I have bought from him a few times and he takes good care of past customers.

might get some gloves if you go golfworks.

adlo

Still need some midsize grips?

Johnny Canuck

i actually found a couple the other day that i didn't know i had. i should be ok.

i think i might try one of those kangaroo skin gloves that everyone here goes on aboot instead of the golfworks glove.

kb asked for a brief letter notifying them so that they don't send you out a bunch of things.

35 points today in the black tee challenge. lost 3rd on a countback to shitlips gordon, which sucked as they had great prizes. 1st was a smoothy buggy.

hit 11 of 14 fairways, which is unheard of for me. 7/7 with driver. one of the missed fairways was a jug, didn't even make the white tees on 4, which lead to a wipe. almost bought a second on 5 but thankfully didn't hit the pole and almost made the fairway. didn't hit 3 wood again after consecutive heel-tops.

left at least 5 points on the course, which sucked.

greens were firmer, but i was in the first group so they would have been a lot worse in the arvo. had a 3, 3 putts, 2 of which came from inconsistent speeds. there is hope for them yet!

1st prize a Smoothy. Bugger.

Those greens are stopping KB from being an elite course. Shame.

i hope the winning score was more than 37. i'm kicking myself for putting away hybrid (which I had melted on 1 and 2) and grabbing the three wood on the 4th.

bruce drove by today and anthony asked him if he considered lighting them on fire to harden them up. no response was given.

was looking to grab something adlo, am still waiting on a shaft from Virge to see if i go down that track or grab a shaft from golfworks. Might also look at some grips. If you go ahead sooner thats fine if you can wait a fortnight I will probably have something to get, but understand you're about to head off soon.

adlo
11th June 2009, 01:43 AM
Simmsy, you must realise what a "simmsy wait" means to me.

Almost as long as a "Johhny Canuck Ozgolf CD" wait.

Johnny Canuck
11th June 2009, 01:54 AM
But not as long as my Nick Cave that you downloaded 4 months ago wait...

I'm going to pass on that putter grip. Just compared my Scotty grip to my Odyssey grip and prefer the Scotty at the moment.

adlo

I am not burning you a CD for one track JC, I said bring your hard drive or USB. Which you have never done.......

Johnny Canuck
11th June 2009, 02:00 AM
Didn't you download the entire cd or just the one track?

adlo
11th June 2009, 02:02 AM
I got the track you were looking for. Can grab the whole album if you want it.

That would justify a CD burn......

adlo
12th June 2009, 01:11 AM
OK, Yossarian and myself are keen and simmsy is iffy.

Any more interest Perth people, or do we remain the dullsville of the golf ho'ing world as well?

DracZ

Any chance you could post a couple of grips to melbourne? :)

adlo
12th June 2009, 01:28 AM
Quite easily, what you looking for?
I can get grips quite cheap, just make sure it is worth your while losing $5-7 bucks in postage.

Whats the cheapest they could do for Tour Velvet Midsize / Multicompound Midsize?

adlo
12th June 2009, 03:07 AM
Tour Velvet Midsize would be around $3 a grip. Multi compound not really worth it, about $9.

adlo
19th June 2009, 12:20 AM
I am pretty sure rebjon can do most small tasks like that, but better check.

What grips?

Oh, and Ken always quotes me less than golfworks, so I hope this time is no different.

i've just re-done everything recently and found the "elusive" 10 missing yards that you long for. only a spare putter grip needed at the moment.
