What position is best for the shaft Spine.

12 o'clock, 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock and how does each of these affect the balls flight.

Club face is running 12 to 6 o'clock and for a right hander hitting the ball towards 9 o'clock.

I believe either 12 or 6 o'clock is fine.

If you follow the logic of fitting a fishing rod blank then it would be 3 o'clock or 9 o'clock. Not sure on shafts but rods often have more than one "spine"!
