How did you find the ball flight off these Ferrins? Just remember reading some reviews on the HT's and most said they didn't find the flight overly high so i'm just wondering how these fly in comparison.

Ferrins
9th June 2009, 05:59 PM
Higher ball flight than the Hogan Apex Edge Pro,s

adlo
9th June 2009, 09:09 PM
Golfnut, with those shafts they would fly significantly lower than your Sumos

Just thinking of the heads only Adlo...pretty sure the those S300's are a bit out of my swing speed.

Incidently, what SS is best suited to play the S300s?

Driver would want to be 100+

You would like the heads, they are a mid flight.

To be honest with you, I would learn how to get those shots flying better with irons (any irons) before you upgrade to a better players club.

I am far from a flusher, but saw quite quickly why you hit poor iron shots (outside of your chips which were very impressive).

going on TT webfit - 7i 146yards is the point where they change from R300 to S300 and they say the same on the Maltby Shaft website. So use that as a bit of a guide.

Please ignore swing speed to fit shafts.

BALL SPEED is more important. IGNORE, I repeat IGNORE swing speed.

How about we buy the clubs - they get sent to me - I give the shafts to Matt 3 Jab, and then reshaft with a set of TX 90 shafts in regular.

How does that sound.

TX 90's would work a treat for the likes of Golfnut

Golfnut

Funny you guys should say that as all the searches i've done re. the stock shafts in my Sumo's say they're actually rebadged TX-90's......does that sound right to you Virge?

Agreed Adlo.....our game last monday was a pretty poor example of my iron shots....had a game last friday and played 7 over for 9 holes (could have been a 5 over if I didn't spray my last drive)....hit some brilliant 2nd shots which even left me a bit gob smacked.

Interested to get your thoughts on my swing via PM....happy to take on any feedback or comments mate :)

Tried that with M3J, shafts dont fit what he wants.

What would it cost if you're able to say to put a TX90 shaft in Virge?

About these Rac's being shortened.
I spoke to the pro today and asked him to shorten the Rac's by an inch and take the wraps off and re grip them. Check lie and loft as well. Then take a 1/2 inch off my set of Hogan's that are Tassie bound and add 1/2 inch to the hogan's staying here. And regrip them with grips that I'll supply and a couple of wraps under each. And while your there whack this putter grip on. "And how much" I asked?
"Bugger all" was the reply.
I consider this outstanding service.
