So.... aside from golf related goals....

Does anyone here make New Year's resolutions, and do you keep them???

Personally, I always like the idea of New Year's resolutions, the idea of the new year being a clean slate, etc....

But I don't think I've ever written them down, and I am pretty sure that I haven't stuck to many of them.... (although I have been smoke free for 7 years now... )

Didn't make any resolutions this year, to save me from breaking them like I did last year. ;)

First time ever I'm making one. Gonna eat healthier. You should see the crap that a long day working self employed shmoo eats.

I figure with my line of work and stress level that should take off a few kilos (somewhere between 5 and 10 max would be good).

Gonna get a bit fitter too. I was always doing something before buying the business but the last 4 years I've been really slack. Time to pick it up again.

Of course this is all in the name of performing better on the golf course.

I'd like to add another 10-15 Kilos to the 20 that I have already lost.

And yes the golf is getting better for it.

Terry.

1. Get fitter so I can keep up with my little girl. Dancing to The Wiggles for 30 minutes is a great workout. Work on improving my abs, back, rotational ability for you know what...

2. Meditate more. My job is about to become a lot more stressful so I need to be centred.

3. Finish a couple of projects around the house that I've been delaying.

4. Live in the moment and stop thinking about the past and worrying about the future.

5. Golf stuff - Get down to a 15 handicap, play in the City G.C. club championships, shoot a sub-80 round on a par 72 course.

Usually the first weeks in March I think vegas....

As for my resolutions, I like to call them intentions....

1. Be authentic and true to myself, even if it’s scary, unpopular or tiring.
2. Keep Cycling, I'm doing 150-200km a week on the road at the moment and feel 100% better than what I did 2 months ago...this is of course with a view in the longer term to help my Golf game
3. Reconnect with old friends.
4. Make new friends.
5. Get to bed early than 11pm every night
6. Make the most of every moment and decision
7. Stop being so damned hard on myself
8. Be forgiving and not so judgemental.....stop assuming.
9. Read 26 books and watch 26 movies
