Just got these pics from a freind in Thailand. Buggar, the person who took these must have ran fast, i guess thats why there was only two.....

There was a story in the local rag today about a local boy who is being proclaimed a hero.

He saw the water recede and he ran around yelling at everyone to run for their lives. as most were just thinking this was cool, and just enjoyed the experience.

Then after the first smaller wave people started going back to the beach and he had to round em up again.

I cant work that out, i have known all my life that if the water starts receding you run for your life. If it recedes to the horizon, you just kneel and pray.

I thought everyone knew that? apparently not, well until now.

Ditto.... but then, growing up in PNG with earthquakes a regular occurrence due to an active volcano nearby probably wised me up a little....

looking at those pics, the safest place would have been inside that pool... :(


too many gory pics coming out in the paper now...
saw one yesterday....took me a while to see what it was abt...almost threw up when I realised what there were... :(
