He speaketh the truth, however perhaps these are a little out of my league. 2* upright - might suit me until i find out what that means

Does that mean these are suited for a guy who walks with a slouch?

Fishy,
Upright lie angles are generally for taller people like Nudgee or Unit, how tall are you?
2 degrees upright just means when a shortarse like me holds these clubs at address the toe of the club sits up in the air.If I magically grew six inches the sole of the club would sit flat on the ground.
Thats the best way I can explain it. :?

you're either tall, or have shortish arms...

does that mean the 5 iron is at 63degree lie angle???

OR....in PING talk, green dot specs...

Get a room guys ;)

I'm about a cheeseburger under 6', but have no idea what's right for me. Played with Gaz at GCI recently, and if i recall he suggested I'm suited for 1* upright, but vanilla is fine.

I think the price is about 300 degrees upright however ;)

Whether the lie angle suits you may depend on your swing too. I'm a short ass (5' 9") and my green dot pings fit me great.

Lie angle has nothing to do with how the sole of the club sits at address, its all about where the sole of the club is at impact position. I'm standard height (38" 5 iron) and am 4*upright. The toe sticks off the ground a mile, but my impact position is perfect at 4* upright.

I to use 2 deg upright and if you look at my clubs at address the toe sits up a mile but its the impact position that counts.
A persons height has nothing to do with lie angles. A lot of people don't get fitted incorrectly so they will never get any better, and something like a change of shaft flex may mean you need to ajust the lie angle because of the position of the club at impact.
