A few people here might be interested, so I thought I'd post this up.

10 days ago I placed an order with golfballstamp.net (http://www.golfballstamp.net/) for a couple of custom stamps to logo my Golf Balls with. Today they arrived and are pretty bloody sweet!

The ink dries almost instantly once you apply it. The 2 on the right that came out well are Srixon Z-URS. The 2 on the left are Vision X-pert2's. If you've used the Vision, you'd know that the surface is different to a lot of other balls and isn't the best for marking, as it's very slippery so unfortunately it looks faint & shit. Not enough ink will stick to it.

The Srixons, like most others, work a treat.

You can get them in Black, Blue or Red + you get a spare bottle of ink with each stamp.

All up it was $55 US (including shipping), and landed on my door exactly 10 days after order was placed.

I've also got stamps for my golf ball. I got mine at http://www.thatsmyball.com.au//index.html.

FYI, I have the ladybird, paw prints and dolphin. No choice of what colour though.
A 3 pack combo is AUD$43.50 + shipping.
Alternatively they are available in a lot of golf stores now.

Hi Russ,

Wipe the ball with metho without leaving any residue prior to stamping and
you should get a better registration.

Cheers,
Boz.

I bought a G-Stamp http://www.gstamp.com/index.htm and it is a piece of junk.
Whilst the feature of being able to spell a unique word was nice, you just cant get it looking anywhere near as good as what it looks like.

The Vision golf balls have a unique cover that causes the ink to not stick as well as others - its a side affect of trying to get em to go further :-) i think the Topflite D2 had the same cover, from a company called Dupont

Thanks mate! I'll give it a go. I really wanted it to work on the Visions as I just bought a few boxes of them.

Hi Russ,

I am looking to offer a personalised service for direct sales as the number
of players is growing and I want to keep the slick finish that does help with
length. Pad printing will look good but still not last forever though.

Cheers,
Boz.

$50 is a lot, but the ability to easily make a unique mark quickly and neatly is attractive to some people. I have seen many times golfers mark their ball exactly the same way, and then those who scribble all over them makes em look like rubbish. Thats why I like logo balls, but my own logo would be better.

What do you mean by that, from manning the phones yourself instead of the east asian call centre, or printing our mug shots on the ball?
(saw a chinese company demonstrating that at the golf show a few years back, i could show you the sample they gave me but it is is hideous)

There is a rumour that a UV green X3 ball is coming soon!

Hi Adlo,

I have received some finnal production versions that I will share with the few
that jumped in earlier this year in the next few weeks.

I will release the updated range in June/July here and in the US.

Your welcome Russ.

Talk more soon,
Boz.
