You have stolen our Pro.

Mark Weir who use to be the 2IC @ Bayview is heading up to take over Brookwater. Sensational coach and great bloke, you are bloody lucky to have him.

He is responsible for pretty much all of our juniors. including a couple that he taught as juniors that have turned pro. Our Junior program has just lost it's greatest asset.

Enjoy

Mark was the pro that gave me series of 10 lessons. Had a few games with him too. Great guy. Not afraid of giving you his honest opinion. If you see him, can you say hello for me?

$400 from memory ... It was first time I had a series of lessons from a same guy. Worth the money, IMO.

That's pretty cheap for 10 lessons.... Were they 30min's or an hour?

30 min. But we'd usually go for extra 10 to 15 min. He'd video tape my swing, review it, then back to the range to try to correct faults.

I played with him in a handful of comp rounds and that helped me a lot. I'd book in for a lesson soon after the round and he'd go through what he saw on the course. He can be very honest. I wasn't too impressed with my putting ... We worked a lot on my short game after he saw me play.

Did your handicap improve after all of those lessons?

Did your handicap improve after all of those lessons?

Yep. My handicap was 10 when I started the lessons, and I was struggling to play to my handicap. 24 points was not uncommon. I got down to 7.6 with the lessons and then I moved to Alexandria and didn't get to play much golf. That was in 2006.

I've started playing again after 8 months of no golf at all ... I wouldn't mind seeing Mark now to get me back on track. :?

My lovely wife is buying me some lessons with Mark for my birthday, so I'll say hello to him from you John. :)

Good on you mate. He knows me as "Carter"

Just mention the fact that we beat Killara the week he left, we had to get rid of the dead wood.

He is a great teacher - straight to the point and no screwing around. None of your paid time wasted getting hot air up your arse.

Enjoy

for sure. My game has been in gradual decline since then. I've drifted out to 9 a couple of times.... It's pathetic really.

Still better than you though, which is some small comfort.
