Welcome Alex. Judging by the username it's been a fruitful two months...

Unless that refers to what you do on St Kilda Road each weekend to earn $$$ for golf, in which case I apologise.

Welcome Alex; it is a great period to be starting golf. So much talent playing the game these days and technology to get you on the right path.

Welcome Alexander and the sledging in here can be quite rough, so a thick skin is required.

Welcome Alex,

What out for Jack. He preys on the young ones!

Incorrect. I only give idiots a hard time in here. That why I am kept so busy.

You won't find anything on St Kilda Rd either . Grey St is where the action is.

Or so I am told.

Which bit of Melbourne are you in?

And my tips for a young man just starting out:

Keep up.
Don't be a dick.
Read the rule book. The first chapter is about etiquette which gives an indicator on what golfers consider the most important thing to know.

Even if you are shooting hundreds, if you follow those 3 things, people will still be happy to play with you.

Keep an eye on the first tee threads - there are a few of us in Melbourne that you can join up with.
