View Full Version : Fire-up songs

Courty
18th February 2009, 10:50 PM
I'm putting together a playlist for when I go to the gym, and I want to fill it with those songs that fire you up. You know, like Eye Of The Tiger.

I intend to end up with a mix of new & old stuff.

What can you suggest?

List so far:

Kickstart My Heart - Motley Crue
Their Law (Live) - The Prodigy (This live version is possibly the best 'fire-up' song I've come across to date. I can just imagine Keith going off his tits on stage.)
Poison - The Prodigy
Mr Vain - Culture Beat (An anthem from my clubbing days)
Linkin Park - Points Of Authority (Live)
Grinspoon - More Than You Are (Live)
Ultra Sonic - Annihilating Rhythm (Pt. 2)

19th February 2009, 03:58 AM
Joker and the Thief - Wolfmother
Holiday Inn - Chingy ft. Snoop

Both the above have a beat that matches a good solid stride while running for me, keeps me going after I would otherwise slow to a walk.

Let Me Think About It (good for treddie/bike - Not sure who it's by
My People - The Presets

I also find stuff like Pathetic by Blink 182 and Fat Lip by Sum 41 is good.

Let me Entertain you - Robbie Williams
Pschoactive Summer - Def FX
Superman(It's not Easy) - Five for Fighting
Learn to Fly - Foo Fighters
Smash N Grab - ACDC
Generator - Foo Fighters
Death in the Afternoon - HooDoo Gurus
Black Ice - ACDC
Down Under - Men at Work

Not to threadjack but I need one of these.

It's a 4 minute drive to the course on Sunday morning for my champs final and I need the ULTIMATE fire-up song for the strategy of the days play. I tried Lupe Fiasco's "Kick Push" for my last final in '06, but that resulted in a 7/6 loss and a snapped putter that I nearly stabbed someone with. Probably something different required this time.

Problem is I'm not even sure of the strategy of play yet either.

Suggestions? (for both...)

depends on the mindset youre going for

Bloc Party, interesting choice. Spot on with the chorus  and other poignant lyrics. Damn good for energy though, spot on there.

Dont mind a bit of ego stroke either.

Chemical Brothers - Piku (especially good in the car with a good system)

Jay-Z feat M.O.P - You Dont Know (remix). Played this song as my mates fight entrance song & it went off ! M.O.P are nasty dudes.

Tech n9ne - Worldwide Choppers. Probably not ideal having the word chopper in it while your heading to the golf course lol but it still has a big mean sound to it.

It's a 4 minute drive to the course on Sunday morning for my champs final and I need the ULTIMATE fire-up song for the strategy of the days play.

I don't understand. Why did they title a song that describes their music?
