Yeah, we had some fun out there today, a nice course and good fun.

By 'in front of the good doctor', do you mean the beer spilt all over the table? Oh, that was later, wasn't it TS :?

PS - Jarro, isn't that avatar the same as Jack?!

How do you think we got the group shot? Thank Mr Tripod ...

OK ... Some more handy work from Mr Tripod ... (I'm sure Jarro can do some imaginative things with that sentence ... )

One thing is certain from these swing sequences. Everyone (except Speirsy and perhaps Jimandr) is guilty of premature release ... aka casting. Something for us to work on, perhaps? Should we form the Premature Releasers Anonymous?

Amanda, aka "mini-Wie", showing the grace that won her the title of Ozgolf's most improved player of the year ...

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/1539/amandaswing9qs.jpg

Trung, "Mr Phone Call", showing his well grooved backswing but revealing that he too, is guilty of casting ...

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/7472/trungswing6qw.jpg

Zipptopp, who zipped through his backswing so fast, I caught his swing too late.

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/1807/zipswing0al.jpg

Fishead, whose backswing was so slow that I caught it too early ... I'm not doing very well as the group photographer, am I?

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/7395/fisheadswing0sy.jpg

Jimandr, showing good form that sent his ball 240 meters down the fairway ... He went for the green 210 meters out, but I don't know what happened to that shot. :?:

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/1224/jimandrswing9id.jpg

Virgal, aka "Mr Leggy", showing the legwork that would rival Elvis's best moves ...

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/6668/virgalswing5rd.jpg

Brad, aka "Mr hey I don't get two shots on a hole no more", showing good form that has seen his handicap slashed down to the teens ...

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/669/bradswing6ue.jpg

TonyS, aka "Mr John Daly and Mi Hyun Kim have nothing on me", showing just how far backswing can go ...

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/9971/tsswing2cz.jpg

Fishman, aka "Mr Control", showing controlled agression that turned his gay fade into a power fade ...

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/3203/danswing4wi.jpg

Speirsy, "Mr X flex is too soft for me I need XXX flex", showing what lag is all about. Notice how his impact position looks distinctly different from the rest of us.

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/9898/speirsyswing3io.jpg

And me, showing casting action that would make Rex Hunt proud. After taking pics of everyone else's swing, I proceeded to snap-hook my drive into the left trees, about 100 meters down the fairway.

http://img38.exs.cx/img38/79/johnswing8xz.jpg

Lastly, pics of caps you won't find in your average golf store ... Can you guess whose signature is on Fishy's Taylormade cap?

old men who have lost flexibility have to do that (to help clear the lower body through ball) whats your excuse ?

I find players who have a fair amount of rotation or players that have a tendency to go from the inside to the outside tend to do it (this is just my observation, so feel free to debate it). I have tried keeping my leading foot at a parallel position (as I tend to open it up also), but I found that I had to roll my ankle forward in order to do it (which I didn't think was really beneficial, as it was quite awkward).

Kind regards,

Ben (Ducky).

just look at Golfer69 for the classic example.

anyway you have to open your left foot, and to be orthodox the left foot should be more open than the right. To have either foot square is going to cause problems. (most people dont even walk like that)

Jack Nicklaus when he needed more power, would open up the left foot even further.

I'm very proud - didn't top a shot all day - of course, I hit a few fat (like the pic that Trung pointed out  ) and a few in the wrong direction
