It won't be stableford in the first group.

The header post has been updated with groups.

It is single stab off the second tees, whatever they are. Not off the backs! Match play final in the first group as well.

For those who are going straight from Pac Harbour to Pelican Waters, you don't need to go all the way back to the highway. Heading back towards Caboolture, turn right into Old Toorbul Point Road just past the service station. That will take you up to the Pumicestone Road interchange. Should cut a few minutes off the trip.

(When you get to Pumicestone Road (it's the first stop or give way sign you come to) turn left along Pumicestone Road across the highway, then right at the roundabout and get onto the highway - only word of warning is it's a really short on ramp and the speed limit is 110km/h.)

How about we find someone who knows the quickest way there and we all just follow?

BrisVegas
9th November 2009, 04:37 PM
thanks for the tip Westy. That road back to Caboolture from Bribie is a PITA.

AndyP
9th November 2009, 04:40 PM
Thanks Westy. I've always hated the drive to Bribie. I'll test this new route out when driving southbound before the round.

AndyP
9th November 2009, 04:44 PM
Now all we need is a bypass road for bloody Ningi.

Is there a reason the Match Play Final is first?

PeteyD
9th November 2009, 05:41 PM
yes. And it is arbitrary.

Is there a reason the matchplay final is on the Friday, and not the Saturday of the actual champs?

AndyP

Lucky isn't playing the Champs.

I've got something on early Friday evening, and won't have enough time to get back with a late tee time. So I'll have to pull out.

Sorry for the late notice.

Would changing groups help? I'll move it means you don't have to miss out.

No, someone's done me a favour, and even the earlier tee time won't give me time to get back to the southside by 5:15....

Does anyone have a course guide for Pacific Harbour?

markTHEblake
10th November 2009, 10:35 PM
Here is the only guide you need,

drive north on Bruce Highway, when you see Bribie Island exit, dont exit.

AndyP
10th November 2009, 10:40 PM
If I'm driving north on the Bruce, I'll never see the Bribie Island exit.

When the **** is Google Earth going to be updated for Bribie Island?

Yep you can count the trees on Moreton but barely make out the greens on Bribie....crap.

For anyoen who hasn't been to Bribie for a while be aware that teh exit has changed make sure you are in the left lane and stay left otherwise you have to take the Kilcoy exit and do a uturn miles down to come back.

henno
10th November 2009, 11:03 PM
Basically, you used to exit just after the bridge (going north) and now it's before the bridge (the old Caboolture exit).

But yeah, stay left or you'll lose 5-10 mins.

serious? that explains why going there once, i ended up at the Caloundra exit before i realised.

AndyP
10th November 2009, 11:53 PM
I'm serious because I'll be coming from the north in the first place. I need to go south.

I don't have details of all the scores, but Dion took the money with 38 points.
Jarro had 37pts after starting with an eagle on the first.
I had 35pts and Lucky had 34pts.

Lots in the twenties and several in the teens.

Courty
16th November 2009, 10:32 PM
What a brute of a course. I had a very enjoyable day, but my golf sucked.
My only highlight was stiffing a wedge to 2 inches on one of the par 4s for a tap-in birdie.
The big lowlight was coughing up the cash to Just & Henno. ;)

What about where Courty's drive ended up in the top of that bunker on about the 14th...................got a photo but it goes no where near demonstrating how much of shyte lie and stance he had (or how the hell it stayed where it did)

Jarro

Did we ever find out how he went on that hole ?

I have no idea how that ball stopped where it did ?!?
