Whats this about maybe changing the handicap system??


As you will be aware, Golf Australia has been conducting an intensive review of the USGA Handicap System
and the USGA Course Rating System with a view to determining the best way forward for handicapping and
course rating in Australia. This review is ongoing.

Golf Australia in all its wisdom (Apparently it has lots and uses it for all things golf:shock:) have been reviewing this for ages.

Basically with what they have done in changing the course rating calculations they are looking to head to the Slope System for both Handicapping and Course ratings.

In the 20 years I've been involved in this stuff I have asked that question lots of time.


Cause they can
Cause they think it maybe needed
Cause it may bring us in line with other Golfing organisations apparently
Trying to fix inequities in the current system
