Had a game at The Lakes today. Started with 2 birdes in the first 4 holes, started to think this could lead to a good score. The wheels started to fall off and finished up with 32 points.

Sometimes I like it better when I start off playing bad. I seem to come in with better scores then. Hope the wheels stay on for your next game TS :D

got some new golf gear in this afternoon, one of which was a B90 belly putter (sposedly) but was long enuff to act as a broomie for me...

off to the course, but could only play 7 holes this evening...
6 pars 1 birdie...
sank a nice putt on the 4th to save my par, lipped out on the 7th for my bird...
very nice feel and roll to the broomie...
might keep it in the bag for this weekend's MM....

that was a VERY short stint for the 2ball....2 rounds only...

Windaroo Ladies Wind up day.....

Well it ended up raining cats, dogs and varying other animals, and it was a Novelty day.... 3 Clubs & putter... I took Driver (of course) 7 iron and PW + Putter.

We played 12 Holes then quit, Single Stableford....17pts... bad but good enough to win 2 balls.. a fun but wet day.

Played nine holes in the rain it the Gailes Back Marker comp yesterday (before it was cancelled).

Actually hit it OK considering the conditions, but had a couple of disaster holes. The birdie and par felt good though. :)

5/7 effective T-shots.
2/9 effective regulation approaches.
20 putts.
Score 54 (par 37).

12/12/2004, Gailes GC.

Played 18 holes with a social group.

Hit off from the 10th first and was pretty disappointed with how I played the back nine. The soggy conditions made my bad shots worse, and I am getting pretty sick of playing golf in wet shoes. Had a solid front nine, with a couple of lapses of concentration.

7/15 effective T-shots.
6/18 effective regulation approaches.
35 putts.
---
7 pars.
5 bogeys.
5 double bogeys.
1 other (I hate other  )
Score 48-43-91 nett 78 (par 36-37-73).

Played Robina Woods with ROC and a few mates today ....

ROC thought it would be good for me to play off the Championship Tees...

Hmmm... well I'm always game.

9/14 Fairways
3/18 Greens
37 Putts
Off the Blues...... 96 (25 over).

Loved every minute of it..... I love hitting 2 iron into par 4's.... NOT.

Cheers

As has already been documented, played Bayview with the Sydneylanders. Had +2 in a par event, and if it wasn't for a brain-fart on the last should have been +3.

Not to worry, had a great day and played sensible golf.

another day of WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN!!! ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ](*,)

played the MM this arvo...
started with a great drive down the first, tugged the wedge shot in...but pin high...makeable birdie putt...didn't sink it...
anyway...
2 - Bird
3 - Par
4 - Missed Bird (5 ft?)
5 - Bird
6 - Bird
7 - Saved Par (thankfully)
8 - Missed Bird (6 ft?) after one of the best 5iron shot I've ever hit... :(

what could have been 6 under after 8 [or realistically, 4 under after 8], it all fell apart in the last ten holes... :smt073

13 putts on the front nine - 19  putts on the back...inc 2 3-jack-bogeys...

shot 33-39 for 72, and the A Div MM Win (67)...
first MM win this year...FINALLY...

What could have been....

Great going Dave!

Bayview was great fun - the hills were killers - I just kept pushing my buggy, looking at the ground - coz if I looked up & saw just how much farther up hill it was - I might have given up!

A few highlights from the day - I had 2 pars on holes where I got 2 shots for 4-pointers (stableford), Trung's missed putt from about 10cm - he just had a complete brain fart!

44 points!!!!!!!!!!!!1 Excuse me Dave - would you please pee into this bottle!!!!
Fantastic result!!!

I played at Flinders yesterday - one of my favourite courses - up until yesterday!! A lousy 27 points - 10 ( yes I said 10) on the front and 17 on the back. Terrible terrible golf - but I had fun!!!

Played Macarthur Grange on Saturday, 4BBB & Individual Stab.
In a group of 3 27 markers I was deemed to be the swinger. I had great round with 42 points including a wipe.
On the hole I wiped my partner holed it from 130m for an eagle worth 5 points.
So at the end of the day I had 49 & 45 points in the 4BBB & 42 points in the individual stab, to have not only won both the 4BBB & individual, but also get 2nd in the 4BBB.

Does not get much better than that

Maybe I just got it wrong and have confused you all. The comp was exactly like we play nowadays @ every Open day 4 ball Agregate + Individual Stableford.

Sorry if I got it all wrong and confused everyone, all I know is I won lots

AndyP - I was just using everyone else's terminology (I think my club must be the only one to call it a 2BBB). Anyway - it all comes down to which event is "in conjunction" - doesn't it
