I played 9 off the social tees with my neighbour yesterday arve in constant drizzle on a very heavy track. My Footjoy wet weather glove was a godsend... After scrambling to a bogey on the first hole, I parred the next 8 holes. I'm not reading too much into the score as there is a huge distance advantage on some of the holes, but I'm encouraged by the consistency of my ball-striking.

39 pts today... Put the Hibore XL back in the bag in place of the 905S and while not as long the mishits were definitely a touch straighter.

Started the day with a bird from 2 feet so was feeling pretty good about things :) and the short game work has been paying off and some good U&D's (for me) were had. Again have to say I choked coming home though... triple (wipe), bogey (2pts) after birdie on 16 got me back to only 4 over... grrr

39pts (2 wipes, both holed out) - 80 off the stick
5/14 fairways (plus a few just a couple yardsoff)
9/18 GIR
31 putts (7x1, 2x3)
3/7 U&D
1/1 sand save
3 birds
7 pars
6 bogies
1 double
1 triple

Should finally be back down to a 10 hcap after blowing out to 11 from a low of 9 part way through last year.

Hopefully things are turning around a bit now.

29 points today. Same as last week. I got nuthin at the moment. No golf now til the Wynnum Cup, so hopefully I will have forgotten all this crappy golf by then.

Went for a nice drive this arvo out thru Fernvale and up over Mt Nebo & Mt Glorious. Havent done that road in 10 years, and that was on a dodgey 250cc bike with choppa. Geez I wish my Focus was the XR5 turbo.=P~

A load of rubbish in the monthly medal today for 87, nett 78. And I parred the last four holes to record that. Every bad shot got penalised, but there were simply too many bad shots. A total inability to get up and down didn't help.

Fairways = 8 of 14
Greens in reg = 6 of 18
Putts = 34 one 3putt, zero birdies
Up&Down = 1 of 7
Sand Saves = 2 of 4
1 penalty shot

Dropped 5 shots in last 5 holes in the medal at Albury today, playing back 9 first. Missed too many fairways & greens. Poor course management. Shot 79 (72).

Went for a casual nine this arvo.
I shot 45 with 15 putts. 2 Pars, 5 Bogeys, 1 Double (Water) 1 Triple (Trees)
A few wayward drives, Iron play was not at it's best today either.
Was happy with putting, had some long-range monsters today.
Pitching was better, finally sorted my wedge play out. Tangled with a few trees, but recovered well.

Wife shot a 62. Same as last week, needs to work on her putting. Everything else is falling into place nicely.

Am now on 2 weeks leave, so I hope to get a few more games in. :D

73-74, 147 gross at Yowani over the weekend in the Yowani Open to finish 5th (5 shots back). Kind of satisfying shooting servicable scores when really not playing great. Kind of...

4 bogeys each day. Too many.

What about the 180 straighty?

i was in the fairway off every tee shot... you work it out where my problem area is....

although 3 putting every second green probably didn't help the score much

Sat- St Lucia
90 net 74 ACR 67.5

5 lost balls and a triple on 2.... I guess it could have been worse.

They have done alot of little mods 1, 4, 5 & 9 have had the driving area reduced by trees and garden beds. There are new tees on 1 at the base of the hill I have been told they are turning it into a long par 4 and the old tees will become car park. The 2nd is a well bedded hole now and hard if you short sided yourself.

The greens were at the best I have ever seen and the close to the best in Brisbane at present, hard and fast but true.

Sun-Nudgee
41pts

1 lost ball

My one goal for the day was to play smart for the first two holes and try and start well. Instead of 3 points after the previous few weeks I was 6 points so not to bad.

Any one out there today with the king tide?

When we played the 12th at about 9am yesterday water was starting to come over the road, by the time we got to the 17th alot of the 12th fairway was under water.

Would have made the Summer cup interesting.

The irons & putter are working in general but the wedges need work and at this stage my longest club for the WC could be a 3 iron I'm hitting hooks with 2 hybrid, 3 wood and driver.

Churchill Park on Sunday in nice golfing weather.

92 gross (46 / 46)

6 Fairways

0 Birdie
4 Pars
11 Bogies

0/2 Sand saves

The "new" wedges worked a treat! Just couldn't putt.
