Christmas present arrived today a putter made in Melbourne by Kari Lajosi. Its a KLP5T which is a design similar to the TP Mills softtail. Mine has a flow neck with no offset, head weight 353gms, 4* loft, 73* lie, 34 ", milled in carbon steel with electro plated finish. Cost under AUD $200.00 plus shipping.

Anybody interested pm me your e-mail address and I will supply details and pics.

Stop shanking my irons. Please.

(Any christmas do-gooder have a quick-tip on how to fix this? Yes, I am standing about as far away from the ball as I can so that's not it. I think I am stretching on the downswing or too much on my toes... or both?)

I hear ya brother  from what I have been told, it is the loss of posture that leads to most shanks. Standing further from the ball to prevent shanks is a fallacy apparently? Needless to say I have been working on maintaining my posture throughout the swing.

As for 2009, I just hope next year is a quiet one, especially on the share market

Henno, move closer to the ball. You appear to be an expect on round things so I am surprised at the shanking.

I would like an income for christmas.

Longer drives
Closer wedges
Less putts

Nothing a bit of retail therapy won't fix.

ps. It was going to be work more, eat less and exercise more, but we have to be realistic.

1. Some new wedges that spin like crazy.
2. Some new forged irons, preferably the softest forgings make by the best soft forgers in Japan.
3. Some new tour quality Vision glow in the dark balls that are better than any of the premium brands but cost less because they are an Australian product.

Easy fix Henno, all things being equal of course. I havnt seen your swing.
Tom hanks usually occur when the hosel is leading into the ball. Perhaps you are delaying release, I only shank (touch wood) in the bunker when I am trying to hold the face open. Make sure you have a full release. There are countless checks for this, like rolling your right hand over your left just after impact. This always works for me.
Merry Christmas:)
