From what I hear

1 into the rainforest. Drop, hit 3 into rainforest on other side. Wipe, concede hole, move on:roll:

Or if you arent anymore then 1 down in your match, concede both 14 and 15 and walk straigh to the 16th hope you can win it, 17 and 18!

Saves a wasted walk, a couple of lost balls (either on 14 and 15 holes or both), the 16th tee is straight off the LHS of the 13th green and no stress.

Unfortunately I'm expecting the match will be over long before the 15th:roll:.

I'll be happy if I can keep it to less than a 4 and 3 beating:D

How about we have an 'unofficial' match on Saturday so you can get a feel for what matchplay is all about, then we'll do the real thing on Sunday?

Ok, now I'm a little nervous. It seems you're playing on the underdog status a little too much for my liking. :smt108

Courty , haven't you played Mossman ?

14 and 15 aren't really that long. Just no room for error.

Whenever I play Mossman, I sort of enjoy it. There's this feeling of impending doom hanging over the whole round knowing you've got to get through 14, 15 and 16 at some stage.

Nope, never. Their website is down too, so I can't look up a card.

Mike, may I suggest that you (my matchplay partner:twisted:) do what the big-guns do (handicap 1-3) they drive the ball over the trees and cut the corner.

Seeing that you are from Mareeba, where the men are men, and the women are grateful, (a ringer at the Mount Molloy pub told me that one, years ago:lol:), it should be no problem at all for you.:D

He did what Julie said, except he deflected off the trees onto the 16th, then nailed another tree flush and ended up 50 metres behind where he originally hit from (2nd shot) and then snotted a sweet 7 iron over the trees successfully into the front bunker. :smt038

Here's how it went for me:

14th: Spray 2 OOB right, then driver, gap wedge to a few metres for a regulation par with my 3rd ball

15th: 4 iron, 8 iron and 2 putts for "another" regulation par

16th: rescue, gap wedge to less than 2 metres, screw up a very makeable birdie putt and make a regulation par.

Russell chipped in for a birdie on the 15th.:smt038
I made a 6 but it was a 2 pointer for me so I was happy.:D
