Great to see Jimenez win last night. Never looked a chance in the play off, yet still pulled it out of the fire. He is one cool dude, love watching him play.

Doing alright for a 46 year old. Speaking of age, how about Watson finishing tied for 7th as a 59 year old? What a fantastic performance :smt038

Great par putt on the 2nd playoff hole...after that it was getting too late, so I had to head to bed - wish I'd stayed up a little longer.

But Westwood did well to get that ultra long eagle putt on the last hole of regulation as close as he did. I think the on course commentator said the pin was cut 31 from the left, and Westwood putted from just off the surface.

I tried to stay up last night but called it when Westwood finished regulation and saw they were going to a playoff. Hopefully I get a chance to catch the replay of the playoff this week. Great win to a great example of how to conduct yourself on the course. I have never seen the guy throw clubs, swear (although it maybe in Spanish) or generally act like a tool when things aren't going right for him. Well done to the 'mechanic'!

Class act. Seems to always give his caddie a wrap after good advice. That's what bosses do right?

Yes. The commentators mentioned his caddie was a mate who was filling in, a Saffa who works in Dubai. Awesome experience for that guy .

Yep, one of my favourite players.

No way. Great to see someone a bit different.

Did you see him sucking on that cigar while Westwood was finishing off? It was the size of a banana. And in the clubhouse at that. Different rules over there.

Had to laugh yesterday at Wynnum when I saw 2 posts on the side of the fairway between the 3rd and 4th showing you could smoke on one side and not the other:roll:

Just finished watching the replay, Westwood had him on the ropes but his putter let him down.
Jimenez was lucky his ball stayed out of the water on the first play off hole, but he holed a great 15 footer on the 2nd hole to stay in it.
He comes across as one cool dude. 8-)

Anyhow, Congrats to MAJ.

I reckon he would have to be one of the better blokes on any tour to hit the piss with.

I was reading about that in one of my golf international mags talking about his rise to be a winner thn his struggles since then. 1 of the factors that they did say was he likes the 'occasional' big night out..... Maybe his swing is not the reason they call him the 'big easy'

I am led to believe that his nickname came from the fact that he likes driving cars and not fixing them. True story. He has a tidy collection of super cars. Last count was 6 or so but that was a few years ago so it's probably doubled since then.
