It's harder than you might think.

I got myself Guitar Hero: World Tour. All the fun of the previous ones with added drums and mike to turn into a full band-like experience.

I've started on the drums and I will never denigrate them again. I rate myself as a relatively coordinated guy (golf carts aside) but doing more than one thing at a time to a beat is actually quite tough. It is also quite physically demanding. Three or four minutes of action start to seem like a long time towards the end.

Goughy and Jarro - I salute you!

My longest gig about 7 hours. My longest continual bracket was 4 hours non stop. But that was for the Toowoomba base hospital nurses party at Fiber Maggies; there were about 5 guys and one she-man out of about 100. And when they got going we just didn't want to stop. No that was a workout!

I have also once fallen asleep while drumming, not losing the beat either. Base player woke me up. And once while sick at a gig I took off to the toilets, up chucked and then bolted back to my kit! That weirded them out.

The missus loves to have a bash. Got herself setup in the spare room with a Pearl Forum. Good for her, her old man added a few upgrades when he had it & gave it to her a few years back.

Friends have a Yamaha setup in their lounge room. Not much change out of $15k he said!

As I former drummer, I saw this version of Guitar Hero for the first time this week and instantly wished my kids were a few years older so that I could justify the purchase to my wife. What a great game!

Sounds like a gig i once played for a bunch of bikers at a private bash at a property out the back of the gold coast hinterland.

They wanted us to play a blues jam for about 5 hours straight !!! We agreed, only because if we didn't we were afraid of what they might do to us ..... and all the time they would walk up to us on stage and give us drinks 8)

I had a bloke sitting behind me on the drum-riser just watching my feet :-s ... i'm guessing he was a wanna-be-drummer trying to get a free lesson

Was pretty disturbing though knowing he was there all night :smt087

Pearl Jam is rumoured to be named after Eddie's grandama who made a peyote jam.

Pearl Jam is also slang for semen, so your pearl necklace isn't that far off.
