View Full Version : Golf Components Australia ??????

Dont suppose anybody knows what is happening at Golf Components Australia. Their internet store is closed and the 1800 number goes straight to a answering service.
I keep on thinking of Queen Armidala on Naboo. "Communication has been shut down and can only mean one thing INVASION !"

No really, Ive never bought anything from them before. I got the info from OzGolf threads. They do exist dont they?
They were real enough to debit my bank account, but not real enough to tell me what happening with my order ??????

I don't know, but isn't Golfcomponents.com.au Ben from thegolfforum? Might be able to find out over there.

Ive had a look and im not sure.
I think I need to join the forum to get much information.
My application to join is in the hands of the administrator.

That is certainly Ben - but I'm not sure of the exact status of his golf sales now he has shut down the shop. He has a new job now.

Still bitter about being banned from TGF for behaving like a dickhead ?

sms316

I didn't say he was ugly. Just that I don't like him.

I've never met Nelson Mandela, but I think I am safe in saying he is a good guy.

It is very shallow to pass judgement on someone without having actually met them.

Are you suggesting that I shouldn't say Mandela is a good bloke?

Webster
12th November 2008, 01:38 PM
No more than saying you dont like Ben, considering you haven't met either of them. What reason have you got to dislike Ben when by your own admission your banning from TGF was your own fault - "I freely admit I deserved it."

oobsadd2

When i spoke to him last week, he said he was having computer problems.
I have my tax invoice/ receipt and he has my credit card details.
My account hasnt been debited............So maybe he
1. has no record of my order and doesnt know im waiting
2. Is waiting for stock to come in before He debits my account
3. Shut up shop and ignored my order.

Im not sure what to do now. Wait I guess.

So you think it is ok to label someone you have never met as a "prick" and "morally bankrupt" yet you are too cowardly to say why?

You are an idiot (and I can say that with absolute authority having met you on more than one occasion).

Well here's one. Jack has got to be one of the most stand up guys on the planet, and at least you know where you stand with him.

SMS16, I'm glad you think I'm a prick, I'd hate you to think I was a good bloke, as that'd prob mean I'd have some of your "personality" traits. The last thing I'd ever want is a personal connection with the likes of yourself.

Back on topic. Yes I am winding up both our golf operations as my other business has taken my focus away from golf. For those that don't know I have gone back into one of our family businesses as my father had to retire due to health concerns. You're correct, there were no photos posted in that thread.
I PM'd Macjackass my mobile number, and had images on my phone in under 15 minutes, and the serial number from the clubs as well.

Ok you boys - behave or you'll all be sent to your rooms.

For the record - Ben is a top bloke. I bought my clubs from him when I was just starting out and he treated me with respect and sold me a great set of irons. If he has been a bit slow in responding to your request - give him a break. He said that he's had to close down his business, move interstate and deal with his ill father. Even though your order is a priority to you - at this stage it isn;t to Ben. I know that p*sses you off but sometimes you need to put things into perspective. I hope that you resolve this soon. :)

SMS - you haven't met Ben - so just shut up!!!

For the record - I thought that Jack was a prick before I met him - now I've changed my mind. He's a good bloke - a friggin stirrer that deserves a good spanking at times - but under that cantankerous exterior lies a good heart.
