What is the worst acting on film you have ever seen ? - Forget any of the usual worst movies ever [or porn]- I am talking major motion pictures..............I would like to kick of proceedings with my top 3..............

1. Brad Pitt in se7en.........absolutely atrocious performance - particularly at the end of the movie - nothing remotely believable in his portrayal

2. Jack Nicholson in Easy Rider..............an OK movie ruined by his crap acting

3. Guy Pierce in LA Confidential...........why can't a real life nerd play a nerd on film ? - because he's useless that's why..........this actor ruins a great script and otherwise great story

I HATE BILL PAXTON!

(and I don't care how good everyone thinks he is in the series "Big Love")

He just over acts every role they give him.

Can't agree less! One of the things I dislike the most about Crowe is that he's just such a good bloody actor at times - and I wouldn't want to know him as a person; sounds such a wanker. But he can turn it on when he wants to.

I HATE BILL PAXTON!

You can not tell me that his performance in Aliens was not cinematic gold!!!! ;)

Any film with Jennifer Lopez.

Pierce Brosnan as James Bond (I wouldn't know if he's done anything else). Every copy of "Die Another Day" should be burned.

Anything with Rosie Perez.

B grade actress in early 90's. White Men Can't Jump and It Could Happen To You (?). She has perfected whiny Hispanic nagging.

I think the producers feel the same and I haven't seen her in anything since.

Keanu Reeves, his acting is so wooden - it is environmentally unfriendly.

Any actor who whispers through the entire film, pretending to be windswept and interesting.

Any model/rapper/DJ/chef/hairdresser/reality series contestant trying to be an actress with the exception of my Avatar, who never does anything wrong and is perfect.

So all of you guys blame the actors & let the director & scriptwriter off the hook.

Many actors need strong directing. Dianne Keaton is a perfect example. She is excellent in films where she has been given strong direction, but overacts shamelessly when left to her own devises.

There are always going to be bad performances, similar to a sportsperson. Se7en was directed & edited for the story & the 'look', so no actor was going to play that role well. Pitt’s greatest crime was choosing that movie in the first place. I thought he did a great job in ‘A River runs Through It’ & ‘Babel’, as well as ‘The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford’.

I’m not a big fan of Guy Pierce (he never convinces me) & I agree with J Lo & Rosie Perez, but everyone else mentioned mostly do fine work.

Don’t forget, most of the Hollywood crap we get force-fed is set up to look & sound & feel a certain way. And most of it is shite! They write scenes that are meant to make the (American) audience cheer, that just make me wanna puke. Will Smith punching the alien at the end of Independence Day is a perfect example.

Keanu Reeves really sucked in the "The Watcher". He did well in the Matrix trilogy though, it suited his wooden acting.

Have to disagree with the Russel Crowe comment, his acting in Gladiator, Beautiful Mind and recently watched 3:10 to Yuma amongst others is phenomenal. I can't stand the guy but by the end of a film he never ceases to blow me away.

I also feel Andrews comments re: Guy Pearce are spot on. He sucked in The Time Machine and LA Confidential, whereas he was excellent in Memento. I think Tom Cruise also fits in this category, excellent in Minority Report and Tropic Thunder for example, but sucks in most films.

I thought Denzel Washington Training Day (for which he won the Oscar) was VERY unconvincing.

I was astounded Denzel won that oscar!!!! I didn't think he did anything outstanding in that film. But I guess after opening his big mouth the couldn't give it to Crowe for 'A beautiful mind', which was a vastly superior movie and performance. He made Forrest Gump look like the Simple Jack movie from within Tropic Thunder.

How do you explain Sofia Copolla in Godfather III

I don't mind Ben Stiller, but Sandler shits me to tears. His problem is that he looks too much like the other, so you may as well hate them both.

Tom Cruise, Steven Seigal, Tom Cruise, Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise, Chuck Norris and Tom Cruise are all painfully bad actors, regardless of who's the director.

No wait..put Crystal #1..man he's an annoying prick.

No way, Jose. This guy is a genius comedy actor.

Shame on you, Damo, for suggesting that women are merely ‘eye candy’, placed on this earth for the sexually gratification of men. They have brains and personalities as well, y’know.

But actually, I just think she has great tits.

I actually named a Staffy "Chet" after that character.... He was an "A" grade asshole to his younger brother which at the time was very funny.
Just not for my younger brother.

Dan Ackroyd in Caddyshack 2.

I saw this in the paper on Friday, and thought I'd record it. The BEST thing about the movie was stuffing the time up and missing the first hour.

No wonder I'd never heard of this movie before.

Love this guy! His 'life is over' style just makes me feel better about myself. Better Off Dead and Gross Point Blank are great!
