I'm pretty free as of 4pm Friday when I sign off at work.

The coming weekend I'm up at Nelson Bay, the next Saturday (25th) I am at a wedding and the following afternoon (26th), I'm having an open house for rellies I haven't seen or spoken to in months/years so they can feel a bit less guilty if I happen to die while I am away

Midweek is free as a bird.

I wouldn't mind another bash at St Mick's before I go if we wanted to line it up around their comp day?

I'm actually trying to line up a hit with Dan before I leave. Perhaps we can combine the two.

Depending on where and when I would be keen for this... afterall we have to make sure he is actually going don't we !

I am off on holidays as of now(back Friday the 24th), so don't wait for me in regards to plans, if I can make it I will be there, midweek is usally fine by me also, depending on what jobs I have when I get back).

But then again I'm in Brisbane.... and can't actually play golf...

He'd have to catch me first, and having read his summation of his physique in Ride OzGolf Ride, I'm confident I would be able to get away from him on foot.

They tell me a username change to Fatman Dan might not actually be too far away

Fishman Dan

Why do people have to dramatise this whole thing? I was one of 3 people to actually back Scott when he used the "P" word on this forum. It's the 80-20 rule - 80% of his posts are very good, it's just a shame about the other 20 ;)

Pansy?

I have to agree with Dan on this. I'm surprised our little blow-up has become a topic of discussion...

I have no idea what your blowup was sorry... and Dans been called worse than pansy.

Scottt
15th October 2008, 09:48 PM
He's referring to my blow-up about the deletion of a thread about porn, probably the beginning of some members not being particularly enamored of me

PeteyD
15th October 2008, 09:54 PM
Oh the ignored thread. Meh old news.

15th October 2008, 11:14 PM
As has been mentioned previously (and also within the rules), this is a public forum visited by men, women & occasionally minors. Pornography is subject matter deemed offensive by many and therefore won't be tolerated. A few members have been pushing the boundaries a bit too much in recent times. If it continues, further action will be taken. That is all.

Scottt, When do you leave? Would you be ok for a hit the week beginning 27th Oct. I am free except for Tuesday 28th. Jim mentioned today that we could play the matchplay replay at this game if it is on that week.

Scottt
16th October 2008, 03:59 PM
Yeah, that is my last week in Aus. maybe St Mick's on the Thursday?

Grunt
16th October 2008, 04:23 PM
So would a 10am hit off suit you Scottt? Any earlier is a real hassle for us in SW Sydney.

Scottt
16th October 2008, 04:31 PM
I am free as a bird as of 4pm tomorrow mate. Any tee time is fine.

Scottt
16th October 2008, 04:32 PM
PS - I'm choosing to believe that FOS stands for Friends of Scott

Let me have my delusion!

Grunt
16th October 2008, 04:38 PM
Well lets see if Jim is keen too and we have a group of sorts.
Have to see if they allow visitor bookings this far out too.

Ok anyone else keen on St Mick's on Thursday 30th October?

Andrew
16th October 2008, 04:52 PM
I would love to have a game, but can't do Thursday.

Scott, we will have to tee something else up on a Wednesday or a Friday. Even if it's just so I can see your hair cut.

Grunt
16th October 2008, 04:54 PM
How about a Wednesday comp then? Why not have it the day everyone can turn up to or as many as we can get can play?

Andrew

I think Scott is keen to play St Micks again, but I'm sure he could play Wednesday as well. It's not as if he will be playing regularly in England when his missus finds out how much golf in London costs.

Scottt
16th October 2008, 05:10 PM
Guys, organise the FOS game whichever day is best for the majority of blokes.

A Wednesday at Windsor would be good?

I can play St Mick's on my own...

Grunt
16th October 2008, 05:12 PM
I like the Windsor option, if Jim cant play it, we will have our matchplay final on Friday @ Dunheved

jimandr
16th October 2008, 05:32 PM
I'm fairly sure I have an RDO up up my sleeve that I can take any day of that week. So I'll play whichever day is decided upon.

If we play St Michaels can we play it from a tee other than the tiger tees. I'd like to be able to see some of the fairways I'm trying to hit.

Scottt
16th October 2008, 05:39 PM
Are we talking next week, or the following week?

sweet, will phone tomorrow and book two groups.

Scottt
21st October 2008, 02:51 PM
Two groups booked: 8.06 and 8.13.

They wanted names, so I booked one in the names of me, M3J, Virge and Grunt and another as Andy + partner and Jim + partner. We can sort out specifics on the day.

jimandr
24th October 2008, 06:43 PM
I smell a conspiracy to hand Grunt the matchplay championship, with such an early start. I'll bet the kitchen won't even be open for me to enjoy my traditional bacon and egg roll. Windsor do quite a good b/e roll, too.

Nevertheless, assuming I can get the day off (shouldn't be a problem, but I won't know until Monday) I'll be there.

Scottt
24th October 2008, 10:08 PM
Jim, I know a good b&e roll place in town. I'll swing by and get supplies on the way to the course!

jimandr

Thanks guys for the game.

It rained all day, and I didn't enjoy that aspect much, but I enjoyed the company.

I see some information about the game has already leaked. It is true that Scottt drilled his opening drive straight into the hedge that forms the boundary of the tee, and therefore didn't make the ladies tee. Fortunately, there wasn't a collection of other players watching at the time.

Grunt won't thank me (but Scottt might) for mentioning that he didn't make the ladies tee with his tee shot on 13 after shanking it into a tree in front of the tee.

There were very few highlights from me, Grunt or Matt, but Scottt hit his shortish approach to less than a foot on 8, drained a long one for another birdie on 11 and hit quite a few other good shots. I hope he plays again before he goes. If he doesn't, he'll leave with the golfing memory that his last putting exploit was a three-putt.

It was too wet for us to discuss the punishment.

Scottt
29th October 2008, 04:33 PM
Thanks Jim, I was definitely hot and cold:

My best nine holes added up to one under!
My worst nine holes added up to 12 over!
