I'm looking at getting a couple of new wedges with a low bounce and would like some of your opinions of what's out there.

I have looked at the vokeys and cleveland cg12's and while they are the type of thing I'm looking for am wondering if there is any stand out choices that I'm missing. Also would like them to be in the D5-D6SW range.

Anyone out there had a go at the Cleveland CG12 DSG wedges??

I am chasing after

60*04bounce
&
56*10-12bounce

cheers all.

What wedges do you have at the moment simmsy?

Good old 588s have a good range of lofts and an awesome design. CG12s are not raved about.

had a guy in perth make up a couple for me, but not having huge fun with them. don't really want to say the companies name on open forum though. Can you get 588's in any shops still?

I know Drummonds had the gunmetals not too long ago. I picked up my 56 for $99 on special, best hundred bucks I have ever spent. Got my 53 rusty 588 from 3balls, before the dollar plummeted :(

CG12 DSG's, bounce where you need it and none where you dont.

I'd imagine he doesn't want the club to bounce too much ;)

Maybe not one of the more popular choices around, but don't be afraid to have a look at the Srixon W706 wedges.

I have them (52/56/60) and for the money, they're a fantastic wedge ...... really nice, wide grooves for plenty of spin 8)

Adams Tom Watsons are not to bad either, I only sold mine due to the new clubs being stronger loft and needed slightly different spec wedges.

I did the same thing although I got a 60 degree good club.

I've tried a couple different styles in recent years and am yet to find the perfect wedge. I still like the shape of the Vokey 200's the best, but prefer the standard sole grind on the Cleveland DSG's. If I could get a Cleveland DSG that is the same shape as a Vokey, it would be the perfect wedge. Cleveland wedges are just a bit too big and rounded for my liking.

The Mizuno MPT's look ok, but I never tried em.

Any love out there for the Bridgestone West Coast series wedges?
Noticed they're reduced to $89 here at one shop.
tempted to team 'em with my new Bridgy irons.

Some very tight lies where I play and my great ability to short side myself.
Also the bunkers are a rather firm sand, I use to use a 3* bounce LW in them but that wedge is illegal in comps due to its face(feel copper face wedge) that worked really well.

If you want to go upmarket Scratch wedges come in a huge variety of flanges and are butttttter. Not many kicking around Oz tho. Gorgeous stick.

Definitely don't go the Vokey SM 60.08, it sucks!!! Can't hit a flop shot. I am going to Drummond today to order the 04. The 52 is the best wedge I have ever owned, very versatile.....

The 60.08 is great, depending on the course. I normally use a 60.04 as the lies at my course are always tight, but having low bounce does not work at some courses.

where do I find the specs on Cleveland 588 DSG wedges ??? Trying to work out what bounce mine have got. I've got the 54 & 60, but am thinking of turning my 54 into a 55-56 to make room for a 51deg gappie.
