Played last Friday at Royal Melbourne - played the West Course. Drove great - my playing partner called me gorilla girl:mrgreen: Had two wipes - one a lost ball - and had 32 points. The winner had 35 points so I was happy with that score. Our team came in about 10th out of about 50 teams so we did well.

Sunday played 9 holes - could not hit a decent firway shot but still shot a 42. Driving and putting was great so it saved me.

Yesterday played at home club in our Challenge Salver. Our team won :smt038
I parred the first 6 holes then the golf gods caught up with me. Still I ended up with 38 points - I wiped the 9th and the 18th. I had gone out to 18 but back to 17 again.

I am hitting the ball so much further now. I have had to club down cos I keep on going over the back of the greens. I reached a green in two yesterday for the first time ever - a long par 4 - and tapped in for my par.
I know a good round is just around the corner;)

Go for it Reenie, pity you are not coming to the champs as you are about to hit top form by the sounds of it.

Stableford today ended up with 34 points - 20 points going out, then 2 3 pointers on 10 and 11.....and then my drive on 12th was left edge fwy big bounce couldn't find it! Couldn't be bothered going back so I wiped the hole. While we were on the green the group behind us found my ball :smt013 Didn't think I was cranky but I wiped the next 2 also  eventually got it together and picked up a couple of more points and then parred the 18th (first time). All in all a good day (7 pars 4 bogeys 7 rubbish) - and probably a good thing I did not lose another shot before the club champs this w/e

Played Cvmberland this morning and deadset felt like I had never played this stupid game before.

Finished with 30 points, with three wipes

34 putts
1 fairway
5 greens
5/13 up and downs

1 triple
2 doubles
7 bogeys
8 pars

I cannot for the life of me work out the speed of their greens. They are extremely two-paced...

27/06/08, Palmerston GC (10-16), Social.

I thought I'd give another course a crack on my way back home. I was assured by the pro that I'd have plenty of time to make my flight playing 9 holes. 3 holes were played in great speed and then it ground to a halt. I persevered for 4 more holes (when I was at a point close to the clubhouse) and got out of there. It wasn't enjoyable waiting several minutes for every shot and you can only do so much chipping around greens.

I was +7 through 7 holes. I was hitting it okay at the start, but started chopping it a bit towards the end.

Next round: Absolutely nothing planned except the OZgolf Champs.
07/10/2008, Palmerston GC (1-9, 17-18), Social.

I returned to the course yesterday to finish it off.

It was a strange inconsistent round, but that was to be expected considering that the only round I've played in the last 6 weeks was a boozy ambrose.

I had two birdies (which aren't that common for me) but also had 4 triples or worse to more than counter those. Driving was well off, irons had yet another good round and the short game was so-so.

The main positive is that I actually enjoyed it.

Next round: Maybe this Saturday at RAAF Tindal again.

Stableford yesterday and I can honestly say I didn't hit a decent fairway wood all day but still managed a nice 37 points. Some awesome drives and the short game is getting better bit by bit. No sculls or fluffs for the day.

Second round of the clubs single matchplay tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I'm up against a tough cookie.;)

Best of luck FG.

Another week of no golf for me, got to be a record. Don't think I went this long without a game even when I had the Tumour.

An easy 39 stab points at Eastlake on the public holiday Monday.

Putted really well and irons were solid as I hit 10 GIR and misses were in positions where up and downs were a high possibility (needs to be a simple spot for me to say that).

All up 79 off the stick which was great with only 1 blow out hole.

39pts
7/14 fairways
10/18 GIR
4/8 U&D (no double chips on any hole... hooray!!)
32 putts (1 x 3 putt and a chip in)
1 bird
11 pars
5 bogies
1 triple :(

Next round at Mt Broughton this Saturday in their medal day... really looking forward to this one followed by a leisurely 18 at Leura GC on the Sunday.

well today was up and down.

played windsor with andrew. Was 7 over after 5.

Came in with -2 for the last 13 holes, and that included alot of bad bad misses with the flat blade.

Hit every green on the back nine which was good.

Fairways - 2 - didnt hit the driver well, but the misses were ok in the end.

Greens - 11 - hit the irons pretty well.

Putts - 33 - including 2 x missed 1 footers and a 4 putt.

All up 38 points................ so not all bad but c'mon.....

Yea, i did give it away for a while.

Its very hard to see myself play so well, and so crap at the same time. If i could putt, i think i could be a low marker.

HX Tour 56 are at Drummond in the Gabba for $49 a dozen. They have about 50 boxes there.

Played Wynnum today in the rain. Had 95/74, 31 points. 6 Fairways and 32 putts. Game of 2 nines. First 9 (Back 9 first) played like Forest Gump for 11 points. Something clicked on the 3rd and I played really solid golf for the rest of the round, including 2 pars and a birdie. Hope that form continues this week at Coffs!

Second round of matchplay yesterday. Played against a girl from our club who is a bit weird to say the least. I have never ever played with someone who won't acknoledge a good shot. Now I don't mean comment on every single shot but the occassional "good drive" or "nice putt" to me is just the norm. A 20 foot putt in the hole - no comment. A great 160 meter shot onto the green - not a sausage!!! If she only knew how much that fired me up!!!!!!!!!!
I had to give her 5 shots - won 6/5. That'll teach her!!!!!!!!!!;)

3rd round of my club champs at Nudgee today in the wet.

Played well on the front nine to card a 4 over par 40 ... helped by a birdie on the 9th.

Then went to pieces on the back nine to card a 10 over par 46 :( ... aided in main by a disgraceful 7 on the par 3 11th (two shots in the water)

Played at Northern today...

Best game since my comeback - 69, par 72.

Hit 14 greens, 29 putts! Very solid never looked like getting into any trouble..

Hmmm, another weird round. I start 1, 1, 2, wipe, 1, 1 and was thinking it was all over. Then it clicked, and I came in with 3, 2, 2 to finish with 13 pts for the side. I continued the better ball-striking on the back to shoot +1 for 21 pts (even with a double bogey on 14). So 34 points in the end and could have been better if I didn't miss a couple of 6 ft birdie opportunities on the back 9. Ho hum... one day I'll actually play like that for all 18 holes.

Played Penrith today and had 78 (+6).

7/14 fairways
10/18 greens
3/8 up & downs
32 putts

1 birdie
10 pars
7 bogeys

It's probably the worst score I could have had, didn't have a lot of luck, but still very happy with the outcome.

Depending on the CCR, I could be down to 8 - a new low!!

Had 46 points with BOSMS (brother of SMS) yesterday at Albury for a win (got on the card a dozen times too.

Got hit on the ass, too... and that's gonna leave a mark.....

 It was from within my own group! Both times! This donkey is just a slow learner, apparrently. A guy in my group came out of the trees to the opposite side of the fairway, with enough force to carry another 50 yds.... twice in a couple of holes. No way his ball should have been anywhere near me. At least I saw the 2nd one coming.
