Nailbiting, isn't it.

Leader goes into Tour Champs needing only to finish 72 holes! I'm riveted!

It happened a long time ago 3, but it still happened. That's what books are for. I wasn't at the Battle of Hastings or The Battle of the Somme either...

Dion, I am an old school haten Vijay guy. Something about him that I have never liked, and his recent comments about Paul Casey only strengthened that. Arrogant, aloof, dismissive... none of them traits I particularly admire. They are determined, quiet and confident's ugly stepsisters.

Does anybody give a stuff about the FedEx Cup?

They are trying to manipulate some kind of excitement at the end of the year (notice Tiger was removed from all point score tables, despite the fact he should have been the number 1 seed at the start of the playoffs). The whole thing has fallen flat on it's face.

Pete, don't be so simple. You wouldn't know me if I walked past you in the street, so don't try to guess my personality based on a few posts on an online forum.

I think your comments on Vijay might be seen as simple, and ignoring the man underneath the persona ... nah stuff it you are right!

Case in point I only know you via your posts... if you act different in real life that is your issue. You judge me on even less.

BUT HEY GO BC....

I haven't judged you. And who or what the f**k is BC?

Ok you two .... please trade insults/opinions via PM from now on ... the rest of us really don't want to read about what you think of each other.

I have no thoughts or feelings about Peter. he does, however seem to have latched onto me... I'm sure he is a lovely fella.

I'd like to see the Fedex Cup extended just one more week with, say, the top 12 playing off for the cup. ie winner of this wins the cup, regardless of how many points they have.

What was wrong with the "Order of Merit" and the "Money List"

This just seems a bit silly. Except that i get to see good players for 4 weeks in a row as opposed to the usual once every 4 weeks.

WTF happen to Mr Chest Potatoes... didn't he disappear off the planet.

"Mickle-Who" ?

Come to think of it - what happened to the Aussies... ?

Well, do you really need to win when you can still earn 2 mill not winning ?

Saw a funny ad on FoxSports the other day in regards to this.

Trevor Immelman is conducting an interview for himself about winning the Fedex cup into the mirror in a locker room. In walks Vijay and he stops, Vijay asks him if he is alright and smirks as he walks out. Pretty apt at the moment.

.. and so it's official, Vijay pockets a check for USD$10 million .... even after finishing +9 in his last tournament.

FWIW, i felt really sorry for Segio as well. He played pretty well to be leading after the 3rd round, but got run down by Villegas who beat him in a playoff.

Sergio might be getting into dangerous territory or he will end up mind ****ed. He's been in contention a lot in the last 3 months and fallen short every time.

Scottt

True SMS. In that sitch a player can either think "why the f*ck can't I win anything?" or "holy shit I'm playing well, I'm in contention every week!".

It has been a great last month for Villegas! Ever since Grunt put him on as his avatar he has been playing his arse off!

The Fedex Cup is obscene. No one in the world should earn that sort of money. It is immoral and greedy - and lets face it - that's where the world is heading at the moment.

By the way - Villegas is a hunk.=P~

Totally agree FG. I don't understand why millionaire golfers would want another 10 million. And I'm being serious.

Jarro
30th September 2008, 08:01 AM
Maybe they should make them play WORLDWIDE to be elligible for the USD$10 million ?

3oneday
30th September 2008, 08:08 AM
Doesn't it go into a retirement or super fund or something ? I don't think they actually get to spend it as such.

Grunt
30th September 2008, 08:44 AM
Yeah I think it goes into some sort of trust fund that they get access to in like a pension sort of way.

Scottt
30th September 2008, 09:05 AM
They get it, if I'm not mistaken, when they're 50. So for a young guy like Tiger, that's likely to be a lot more than $10m by then - not that he would care!
