Yea view is quite good from their balcony. Not quite like being on the river though.

Yeah, i think we'd prefer to be down near the river somewhere.

Buggered if i know where the best place to go is though :?

Hard with little ones in tow. Probably Southbank if you get there early and stake out a large enough area.

Jarro
28th August 2008, 05:58 PM
Yeah i thought that might be the best place.

Don't know that i wanna fight the crowds that badly though :(

At home on the TV or in the distance from home. Is it really worth the effort?

In the park under the bridge itself is good. Plus it's only a block from the pub if you need to "check the parking". I'll be in that area with an eski.

on top of the cliffs but to get a spot you may have to be around from midday. the bridge park is ok but you only see half the show. South bank is shit its hard enought for adults move around

with a 3yo & 1yo, the best place to watch is on the tellie and then watch the F111's cruise back over our place to Amberley afterwards.

I remember being in the Queen street mall once when they did a praccy flyover ... the noise was deafening !!!

People were dropping to the ground thinking we were under attack from the Kiwis or somebody :p

Is called wishful thinking. Like when you shout at your golf ball. You know, hopefully it will happen :)

So what was with only one F111 this year? Budget cuts, or is there only one working one left. :)

The park under the storey bridge was great. Busy, but not stupidly like southbank gets..

So where was I at 7pm on Saturday? I just happened to be driving across Captain Cook Bridge when the F111 came straight over the top, then fireworks were going off to the left and right of me on the bridge. That was an alright spot if you can time it right. ;)

FWIW I was on my way to the Chalk Hotel to watch Buddy's 100th goal and trying to find a legitimate park was impossible until 3/4hr later.
