After convincing myself that the new sqaureway was going to be "the" three wood for me I have come to the conclusion that this is sadly not the case. With the steel shaft it felt perfect (right length, swing weight was good), until it hit the ball. I thought this thing was supposed to be forgiving! Like most clubs, great when you middle it, only problem is the lack of me middling it often enough!

Think that I might have to wait until the new ping rapture fairway get here. Other than that, anyone know of one that has the following?
- big head
- low profile
- no draw bias

These are what i've had in the last little while.
-callaway squareway
-nike sqaure
-callaway x-hot
-burner tp
-cleveland hi-bore.

Oh yeah, Scottt, you might be able to get virge to chuck a shaft in the squareway for a decent price.;)

These days for me 3 wood is all about how it goes off the tee, any hole that I need 3 wood distance to reach from the fairway I shouldn't be going for the green.

Currently the VSteel is my weapon of choice but fitting what you suggested above the Hibore XLS looks great, a nice sized head and exudes confidence at address. I'm yet to hit one on the course but they look and feel great in the nets.

Had a look at the xls today at golfmart. It's on the list. Titty is too small. at least for me.

The most surprising, make that shocking fairway wood i have ever tried is my Wishon 949MC 16.5 4 wood. Low profile, long from heel to toe, .830 COR and just SUPER hot and very easy to hit. Jesus they go.

If I had to buy another 3-wood right now, I'd be searching high & low for another V-steel.

Another vote for the V Steel. Great off the tee and deck.

Another vote for the R5, and the G10 4 wood was good too.

R5 is good. As is the Adams BUL.

I have a Nike Square Sumo 3W lying around, that thing is 210cc's of 3 wood.

I game the Adams BUL as it is easier to get airborne for me, but not quite as nice off the tee as the Nike.

VSteel & 906 are the two I like. But as always it comes down to the shaft....

I must say I do have regrets about offloading the v-steel a few years back.

Any interest in a T60, Macjack?

Thinking about it. Will probably go with the tour burner until I can get one of the new raptures. Any interest in a squareway?

nah, the square shape just doesn't suit my eye at all.

Thinking of digging deep and byuing a Sasquatch 4 wood and putting a VS Proto in it so it matches my driver exactly.

Have a look at one of the sites from the US, pretty sure you could order one with a vs proto. If you want, I'll e-mail my dealer errr I mean club guy as I might get some stuff too.

Sweet, thanks. It would be way easier to buy it as I want it than pay for a shaft I don't want.
